Thinking about buying this for the wife and daughter. It's a Walthers PK380.
-
What's that got, a 1" barrel?
-
No, 3.66", pic is cut short. Walther PK380, fun plinker, I've had one several years now, pretty sure mine is not subject to the recall for the manual safety issue, my s/n is 37k something -

If you can get one outside the recall issue go for it, I like mine.

I'm screwed I can't buy one for my daughter till she gets a permit.I called the state of Conn. and was advised that I can't even give her my old gun unless I send it from a dealer to a dealer and that's the only way it's going to happen.
The bastards can't make it any harder to do.

Yeah this restriction on interstate commerce is a joke, no reason for it, either you can own or you can't, what a load! Government has no right to interfere!
Oh, and if you get this, she will need her hubby to help with the take-down, it takes a silly little notched hard plastic tool to turn the recessed latch to remove the slide, and the main spring is long, I have strong hands and can stretch that puppy around the pin and stick it all back together, gals likely won't be able to. I picked up a small tool somewhere that I was able to file the notch open a little wider that does the same job as the plastic take-down key, I can dig out the info on that if you want, I like have a more durable backup to a piece of plastic.
The manual isn't much, here's a pdf -
