I'm in favor of letting them buy Detroit but it would have to be with the stipulation that there be zero federal subsidy.

So, that'll never happen.

It would fail for the same reason primitive societies fail -- the men will hunt, then spend the rest of their time sitting around or having fun, while the women do everything else.
