Master Sgt. Nathan Sommers, a decorated soloist with the Army Band, is being charged under a federal law that permits commanding officers to conduct non-judicial proceedings for minor offenses. (http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/soldier-who-read-conservative-books-now-faces-charges.html)
Sommers is accused of giving a superior officer the wrong date for a doctor’s appointment. He’s also accused of failing to carry out an order. In order to comply with that order, Sommers would have had to disclose private information about his autistic son’s medical records.
The charges were handed down one day after Sommers told Fox News that he was facing discrimination and persecution because of his conservative political and religious beliefs.
The Military District of Washington disputed allegations that Sommers had been reprimanded or disciplined.
“The Soldier is not, and never has been, ‘facing retribution and punishment from the military for having anti-Obama bumper stickers on his car, reading books written by conservative authors like Mark Levin and David Limbaugh, and serving Chick-fil-A sandwiches at his promotion party,’” Public Affairs Director Michelle Roberts told Fox News in a written statement.
The content of that last paragraph are the real reasons why they're persecuting this MSG with a formerly spotless record, and despite what the PAD "told Fox News", the guy's lawyer has the documentation to prove he is being disciplined.
Furthermore, according to other sources, it is not against military policy to have bumper stickers on your private vehicle.
The Sgt. is a practicing, anti-gay "marriage", White, hetero Christian -- this right here is the problem.

WTF is happening to MY Army?

WTF is happening to MY Army?
"Them" is what has happenED to your Army.
It's been lezboed, sodomized, muzzified, feministed and PC'd into their Army. 'S okay, Danny; the more of you that are out here, the less of you will be put in a position of having to choose between keeping your oaths or keeping your jobs and the better for us all having you on our side.

This kind of crap makes me skull-crushing mad!
We better break from these jackasses soon or the coup will be only missing a pretty red bow!
::overkill::

f**k the bow. I'll take the red, though.
-
The red must flow.

I know its been an ongoing process. Been making the observation that it's the type of people they've been attracting and promoting as of late that have a grievance against traditional America and Americans, who will have no compunction about shooting at those of us who are deemed racist, terrorists, etc.
What really bugs me is that my oldest boy has his sights on West Point (the other on MIT! They get it from Mom!), and I'm having trouble getting enthusiastic about it. Cant really explain it to him at 10 years old, but I am trying to prepare him for the rigors and mental toughness required in the meantime.
It's disturbing that I'm hoping the wheels come off and the lights go out before hand so things can be straightened out before its an issue, but I'm certain it's coming whether whether I want it or not.

Sadly, that latter part...
::gaah::

I know your son probably doesn't want his dreams dashed, but if I were him I'd stay away from the military or any other element of the federal government. I'm sure he has patriotic ideals about going into the Army, but would probably just have those ideals broken and urinated upon once he actually became exposed to the reality of the current military. So dreams can either be dashed now, or dashed later.
I get the argument that it's better to have good people on the inside, but I also get the argument that at some point we just need to withdraw our consent by no longer participating in a rotten edifice. A fish rots from the head down, but it does mean that eventually the tail has to rot too.
Ironically, what they want is an army ready, willing, and able to exterminate exactly the people who used to be that army.

Willing to happily exterminate those damn Constitutionalists.

Therein lay the answer...start a private security firm, service only like-minded clients...get the the benefit of service and protecting others who are deserving of protection and a ready patriot force in place when the need shall arise.
