I liked him as the wise guy in Get Shorty.

Yeah, not saying why, could be an undisclosed illness or something quick like a heart attack or stroke.

Too bad, good character actor, whatever his politics were (I have no clue) he didn't shove it in anybodies face.

RIP.

No doubt. He will be missed.

And like Libertas says, he didn't shove his politics down anyone's throat.

The first role I remember Farina in was The Hillside Stranglers, where he played one of the cousins, Angelo Buono.

He seemed like a good guy.

He went in to the hospital with a clot in his lung. It must have migrated somewhere bad.

I remember him in the "Crime Story" television show which was great in its first season and then kind of degraded after that.

He was also the bad guy in the terrific Deniro/Grodin buddy film "Midnight Run."

You took the words right outta my mouth.

Rest in peace Dennis

The world was a better place when Mike Torello (http://home.comcast.net/~acbfp/crimestory1.html) patrolled the streets. RIP.

Before his acting career, he was a Chicago cop for 18 years.
