Obama ended the gun control debate when he decided to arm the Syrian rebels with fully automatic machine guns and rocket launchers. He proved people need guns to protect themselves from tyranny. Did he give the rebels background checks before giving them real assault weapons? Also the latest Harvard gun control study found no correlation between gun control and less violent crime. Gun violence is down 49% since 1993. Liberals want to ban guns simply because they do not like them and they feel their emotions are more important than facts and people’s rights. (bearingarms.com)

In a sane world under a sane set of assumptions about human nature you'd be right.
But the disconnect between Obama arming unregistered militia willy-nilly on the one hand, and demanding law-abiding citizens register on the other hand, is something that is insane, and will continue to exist. It will continue to be willfully overlooked, as if the juxtaposition does not exist at all.

Disagree. They like them well enough when they're being utilized by the person/s of their choice for the purpose of their choosing. Gun control is not about the gun, it's about the control.
