I've been an occasional advocate of that for years...usually get laughed at for daring to suggest the rights of others be trampled so capriciously...like it has never happened before...

When you have eliminated the other possible causes. Cum Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc.
In this case Population Density might really be the determining factor, as much as we would like to thinks its lefties, because they prefer to live in densely populated areas to feed their relent narcissism.
Or Gang activity - which is much more prevalent in urban areas ( or perhaps you need a certain population density to form the gangs in the first place - for anonymity for one, and just recruits for a second)
Of Course if the graph were reversed, the lefties would be screaming it was proof Conservatives are more violent,etc. So yeah, screw em- Lefties are the cause of gun violence. Its plain as day.

I like this idea but lets take it a couple steps further. (forgive me I know this is all fantasy)
Take all guns away from all dems and progressives.
Remove all armed security from all public servents
Make sure all conservatives are issued guns with training to protect themselves.
Then similar to what has been previously done by the left. Make public sevrice announcements over the TV and internet listing the names and addresses from coast to coast of all the unarmed people and their homes and businesses. The key being to inform the criminal community of where the easy pickins are.
Wouldn't it be nice to see this play out
