In the latest affront, the SEALs have been ordered to remove any example of the Navy Jack from their uniforms. As Libertas can surely attest, the Navy Jack is a proud symbol that goes back to the very beginning of the Navy. It is similar to the Gadsden flag in that it has a snake and "Dont Tread On Me" on it. Making Navy personnel remove it makes about as much sense as telling them to remove the US flag too, but I won't put that past them either.
You can take a wild guess as to why this order recently came down. And let there be no doubt as to the level from which this order came. The Navy would never take it upon itself to denigrate its own symbol.
