Title: Picking on Keynes
Post by: Libertas on November 07, 2013, 07:32:47 AM
ZH often goes hog-wild on Keynes-bashing, not all of it undeserved, but the fact is that most people tend to overlook Keynes's own admission that stimulus eforts were meant to be temporary and not permanent, these latter day "Neo-Keynesians" think they are smarter than everybody and that the good times can just keep rolling along...all-gain/no-pain.  IMHO the Neo-Keynesians are far more destructive and nefarious than 'ol Keynes ever hoped to be.

Kenynes also did not advocate for borrowing to finance stimulus.Only if the treasury had the funds did he advocate for it. This little tidbit is always left out by....leftist who selectively edit the man's work. The old fool knew better than to borrow from foreign nations plus he wasn't looking to turn the system upside down to destroy his own nation as the leftist here are looking to do.

Yup.  The pay as you go economists are no more...and easy financing made debt as natural as breathing...just like individuals and businesses, government cannot run up perpetual debt without consequences...

Here we are today, with idiots like Obama saying "Raiding the debt ceiling does not add more debt" and a bunch stupid animals just nod like bobbleheads...

These people all need a check up from the neck up...but we don't have that kind of time!   ::pullhair::

If the republicans were smart (?) they would push the situation in Detroit which most deftly illustrates the fatal drawbacks of liberal progressive financial planning. a simple question would be: do you want your city to look like this (a pic of Detroit) or like this (a pic of a fiscally sound city - and there are some, such as the small town I live in that actually has no outstanding unsustainable debt) where the streets are paved, plenty of police and fire dept with rapid response time, etc.

it just seems that the republicans all  missed the college class on how to run a successful campaign.

If The Butthead (Karl Rove) or some other inside-the-beltway consultant doesn't recommend it, it doesn't get done.  What you suggest I would like, but the Ruling Class and their consultants would view that as being poor tone and likely racist.

See the problem we have?  Lot bigger problem than people think!

It's why the GOP is assured to go the way of the Whigs.
