With recent changes, tornado alley can be anywhere, i.e. Washington, IL. and surrounding villages. And hurricanes, while those on the southern and southeastern coasts suffer the most, will affect many places far inland from the coasts.

Earthquakes? They can occur anywhere, and we don't even know all of the fault lines.

Extreme homesteaders.   Reality TV can't be too far behind...

I understand they move back because the volcano makes the soil so fertile.

Yep, just going to say that.  Volcanic ash is a great fertilizer.  But then so are any human remains buried under the ash great fertilizer.

Yep, just going to say that.  Volcanic ash is a great fertilizer.  But then so are any human remains buried under the ash great fertilizer.
