Entertainment / Some farewell lmusic links.

Some freakish outliers in music recommendations.  Almost all of these came directly or  indirectly from ACOC or covert conservatives.

Someone at ACOC posted some anime set to Everytime we Touch which led me to several music genres I never considered. Funny how that works. I stumbled on these mostly over the last few years.

Here are two playlists linked to one song each. Indirectly rom a covert conservatives link. It is a Russian amateur from the Russian far east Alina Gingertail. .Maybe I am getting senile. I am smitten by her elf girl magic. She has her natural hair color in Gravel Walk. Then she dyes it further red later on. She used to play Irish and Folk. Now mostly music from video games.  Good Riddance from Hades might be good for a funeral. Seriously. It is in her playlist.

Her videogame music led to Slavic Folk as some games like The Witcher have these. Another rabbit hole.

A fun bawdy folk song Matty Groves.  Gingertail covered half of this.

I do not like metal but like good female singers.  Floor below is currently mother of two.

If you want to give symphonic metal a try. These came thanks to ACOC. Sharon den Adel is now mother of three. I jumped into the middle of the concert

The new Pimp appears to be a social justice warrior & a fan of prancing Francis.

With all the sordid issues swirling about terra-firma, he has made some anti-Vance & Trump immigration social media posts.

Beelzebub's already setting a place at the table for Neo-Leo.

🇺🇸🇾🇪 Second US Navy jet is lost at sea from Truman aircraft carrier

Another F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jet from the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier has been lost in the Red Sea, the second jet lost from the carrier in just over a week, four people familiar with the matter told CNN.

It is not entirely clear what happened yet, as the investigation is ongoing, but two of the people said there was some kind of arrestment failure as the jet was trying to land on the carrier and the pilot and weapons systems officer had to eject. They were recovered by a rescue helicopter and are both alive, but they suffered minor injuries, one of the people said.

The jet crashed into the sea and has not been recovered, two of the people familiar with the incident said.

Separately, the Iran-backed Houthi rebel group “took a shot” at the Truman on Tuesday, the four sources said, despite President Donald Trump announcing an apparent ceasefire with the group hours earlier. It is not clear whether the two incidents are related.

Another F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jet from the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier has been lost in the Red Sea, the second jet lost from the carrier in just over a week, five people familiar with the matter told CNN.

They were recovered by a rescue helicopter and are both alive, but they suffered minor injuries, one of the people said.

Separately, the Iran-backed Houthi rebel group “took a shot” at the Truman on Tuesday, four of the people said, despite President Donald Trump announcing an apparent ceasefire with the group hours earlier. It is not clear whether the two incidents are related.

The Office of the Secretary of Defense referred all questions about the incidents to the Navy and US Central Command. CNN has reached out to the Navy and CENTCOM for comment.

The loss of the fighter jet comes one week after another F/A-18 jet fell overboard the Truman. That time, initial reports indicated that the Truman made a hard turn to evade Houthi fire, which contributed to the fighter jet falling overboard.

An individual F/A-18 fighter jet costs more than $60 million, according to the Navy.

US Naval assets in the Red Sea have repeatedly come under Houthi fire since the Houthis began their attacks against Red Sea shipping in November 2023. In early 2024, a US destroyer in the Red Sea had to use its Phalanx Close-In Weapon System, its last line of defense to missile attacks, when a Houthi-fired cruise missile got as near as a mile away – and therefore seconds from impact.

The Truman aircraft carrier in particular, though, has been plagued with problems as part of its Red Sea deployment. In December, another F/A-18 fighter jet was operating from the Truman when it was “mistakenly fired” upon by the USS Gettysburg and crashed into the Red Sea. Both aviators ejected safely at the time.

Then, in February, the Truman was involved in a collision with a merchant ship near Egypt in the Mediterranean Sea. Following the incident, the commander of the Truman at the time, Captain Dave Snowden, was relieved of duty. Captain Christopher Hill took command of the carrier shortly thereafter.

This story has been updated with additional details.

—??🇺🇸/🇾🇪/🇮🇱/🇴🇲 BREAKING: Oman has officially announced a ceasefire between Yemen and the United States

The United States has pledged it will immediately cease its bombing campaign against Yemen, and in return, American ships will not be targeted by the Houthis.

NOTE: Israeli-linked shipping is NOT included in the deal, the air and sea blockade remains until the aggression against Gaza stops.

Why the Hell Was NATO Expanding as the Size of the Russian Military Shrank?

4 May 2025 by Larry C. Johnson 114 Comments

Gaslighting the American public about the military threat posed by Russia, especially during the 20 years following the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, proved to be an effective piece of propaganda. Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama should be required to answer one simple question: Why did each of you expand NATO while the Russian military decreased in size? Between 1991 and 2011, the size of the Russian military underwent a dramatic reduction, reflecting the collapse of the Soviet Union, economic turmoil, and subsequent reforms aimed at creating a more modern and sustainable force.
...
At the time of the Soviet Union’s dissolution in December 1991, the Soviet armed forces comprised nearly 4 million personnel. When Russia formally established its own armed forces in May 1992, it inherited a force of approximately 2.73 million servicemen.
Throughout the early 1990s, Russia faced severe economic constraints, leading to drastic cuts in defense spending and personnel. By 1997, defense spending had fallen by a factor of eight in real terms compared to 1991.
...
In the 1990s, the Russian military suffered from undermanning, poor training, low morale, corruption, and widespread draft evasion, further reducing its effective size and readiness. The number of active-duty personnel continued to decline, reaching about 1.9 million in 1992, and then dropping steadily throughout the decade. Why am I pounding on this fact? Western leaders persist in pushing the fallacious narrative that Russia posed a military threat to the West and that NATO had no choice but to expand to stave off Russia reestablishing the Soviet Empire. What a load of crap!!
...

And what did George W. Bush do in response to the dramatic decline in Russian military manpower? He launched the largest single expansion in NATO’s history in 2004, when seven countries from Eastern Europe formally joined the alliance on March 29, 2004. This expansion was significant both in size and in geopolitical implications, as it extended NATO’s reach deep into the former Soviet sphere of influence. Bush welcomed Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.

Naturally, the Russians were outraged… understandably so. They were not building up their military forces… the Russian military was shrinking. Vladimir Putin gave a landmark speech on February 10, 2007, at the Munich Security Conference, in which he strongly criticized NATO expansion and U.S. foreign policy. This speech is widely seen as a turning point in Russia’s post–Cold War relations with the West and a clear signal of Putin’s growing assertiveness. Putin argued that NATO’s eastward expansion violated earlier assurances made to Russia after the Cold War. He described the expansion as a “provocation” and said:

Pakistan was neutral as to the Ukraine-Russia war. The US caused a non-violent regime change in Pakistan. The new govt sold lots of artillery shells to Ukraine. Now Pakistan is short on artillery shells.

https://t.me/ForeignAgentIntel/14593
Pakistan has run out of artillery ammunition due to deals with Ukraine and will only be able to fight India for four days.

In response to rising tensions with India, Pakistan has requested a meeting of the UN Security Council.

India today cut off water supply to the Baglihar Dam, a move Islamabad had previously equated to a declaration of war
