James Avery. dead at 68

Served his country during the war in Vietnam in the Navy. Born NJ raised by mother. Trained as a classical actor. Past away this day after complications from open heart surgery back
Nov. 11, 2013

 Best remembered as Phillip Banks on the sitcom The Fresh Price of Bel Air.

Oh, the big fella!  He also played a cop on That 70's Show, bunch of roles here and there.  Didn't know he was a Navy man.

It is no small thing that for being an actor and I have no inclination what his politics or beliefs are speaks well of the man right there.
