Remember, no child will be allowed to be left behind...and suffer at the hands of ignorant non-conformist parents!!!

The more I read about it, the angrier I become.

The Soviets could not have planned this better.

And people just let it all happen...

Angry?  Oh, Hell yes!

They will deny until they are lead into the camps.  And will wonder how it happened.

And yes,  they will eat their own.

... I’ve been writing a lot about the latest dreary exercise in pedagogical flummery and inhumanity, the Common Core Standards. I’ll be writing more. But they do serve one purpose, as it seems to me. They can stir Catholic bishops, pastors, teachers, and parents to take stock of where we are.

... This rotten pedagogy, this dispiriting transformation of English and history, and what little poetry is allowed to remain on the lifeboat, into the Inhumanities—this rejection of wisdom and this reduction of knowledge to information, and of art to “transferable skills”—it is not spanking new. But it now presents itself as so thoroughly and comically bad, and so inimical to human culture in general and the Catholic faith in particular, that we might just begin to say, “The building was wrong from the start!” And then we can build upon truly human and Catholic principles.

So here I’d like to introduce my readers to someone who is aiming to do just that. I offer his example to inspire others to go and do likewise, or to assist him in his wonderful undertaking.

Peter Searby has a vision. He understands that boys are treated pretty shabbily in our schools—and not just the public schools. He recalls interviewing a nine year old boy, who told him that he hated school, because they gave the kids only fifteen minutes a day to go outside, and then only for talking, not for running and playing. Otherwise, school life meant being confined to a chair, listening to the teacher talk, and filling out innumerable worksheets. Searby knows, too, that many boys are drugged to smother what is a normal physiological and emotional reaction to the abnormal environment in which they are compelled to wear out their days. He understands that such boys, bored, resentful, and inured to failure, cannot become stalwart contributors to a healthy society, or clear-eyed defenders of the Church.

Searby’s answer is not to toss to the boys a little extra work. It is to reconceive the whole idea of teaching boys. Or rather it is to return to what we all know about those creatures, from history, from every human culture, from biology, and from the abundant evidence of our eyes and ears. What would a healthy and hearty Catholic school for boys look like?

His words are not just far from those of our reigning educrats. They come from a different world entirely:

The rest.

From Infowar

Common Core, its "for the children!"

If this was your little girl afflicted with common core, who would you want to kill?

Quote
The photo shows a frustrated 7-year-old girl in tears and anguish after she is unable to solve a math equation using the suggested problem-solving method.
“I’m a photographer,” a caption accompanying the photo states. “This is my daughter…and this is the first photo of her that I have ever hated.”
The girl’s mother, Kelly Poynter, says she attempted to assist her daughter, but that she too was unable to comprehend the purported lesson.
“After checking her work, I had found 2 math problems were incorrect. I tried to help her understand where she went wrong through her process but I don’t understand it myself and was not much help,” Poynter says in a post that appeared at eagnews.org, a Common Core watchdog site.
Even after Poynter gave up, her daughter continued to try to wrap her mind around the problem. “I told her to forget about it and we’d try again tomorrow but she became very upset that she could not get the answer and kept trying and trying to fix it,” Poynter says, claiming the photo was snapped inadvertently while clicking through camera settings. “She is hard on herself as she very much wants to excel in school and not be pulled for extra help all of the time.”
Poynter says it’s all the more sad to see her daughter like this as she is a cancer-survivor and usually high spirited. “She is a fighter with a resilient spirit,” Poynter asserts. “It crushes me to see her cry; to see her struggle. My daughter deserves a happy childhood.”
Poynter says she’d like the photo’s publicity to go towards raising awareness and bringing “about much needed change in public education.”

Want to play propaganda pics with children libs? well okay then.

The parents don't understand what the children are, or how the children are, being taught and can't help them.  For me, that is, and would be if I were a parent, a BIG F*CKING RED FLAG!  Can you add/subtract/multiply/divide/spell/read?  Then why can't you understand how and what your elementary school-age kids are being taught?  The problem isn't you and it isn't your kid.

The new/er pedagogies of teaching, the curricula, and particularly Common Core, are not designed, despite written goals, to teach to enlightenment and skill in any area.  They are designed to confuse, obfuscate and enstupidate.  The proof is there, right before our eyes, in the arithmetic problems and the many, many steps to solving them, instead of the simplest, clearest methods of instruction.

Cue the video of the mother before the school board schooling them in the eighteen steps to solve a simple arithmetic equation being taught at her kid's school.  And note, I did NOT write "her student's school" because they are first, last and always your children; children is what they are, being a student is what they do.

If that were my little girl, I'd be getting her out of government school so fast the edumakashun officials' heads would spin.

I just realized that I am so struck by this photo because its how I feel every freak'n day -- given a job to do (solve the problem of  taking care of me and my family)  and be hampered  and obstructed by threat of being punished, by fines, jail time or execution if I don't solve the problem the  contradictory, overly complicated, freedom stealing, soul crushing  way the meddling ,self-righteous, reality deprived morons in the government tell me I must solve it....

That picture is the encapsulation of an entire civilization being robbed of their birthright.

She is probably a very bright little girl, and yet is being started down a path that will result in disliking learning and knowledge because of the counterfeit versions forced on her. The Fundamental Transformers don't care how many of these little victims they leave in their wake.

On the contrary,  they are counting each victim and exclaiming with glee !

Hopefully, with the mom she has she'll know she's not stupid. But others won't be so lucky. Those are the kids that will settle. And at 40 they'll be taking meds for depression because their life sucks.

I feel her pain...... It's frustrating to understand a simplistic solution to a problem, only to be taught YOUR solution isn't correct, but part of the problem. You will be assimilated. Borg. The collective.

I gotta remember to catch Traps clip and this one when I get home tonight!

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/04/01/building-the-machine-the-new-common-core-documentary-that-will-start-arguments-on-both-sides-of-the-debate/

ETA - That young kid has a future as a Breitbart style investigative reporter!

Good clip.  Gates is  a big fly all over this turd!

And the clip from my link (see below) is a good rundown too.

BUILDING THE MACHINE - The Common Core Documentary

This thing is ObamaCare for education, a complete elitist coup taking over youth development and is nothing less than a national indoctrination program that severs completely any tie between parents and their children...this thing is pure satanic evil, it was conceived in secret, sworn to secrecy, funded by wealthy elitists for the financial and political benefit of elitists...this is nothing short of America's "Hitler Youth" effort and any parent subjecting their child to this is condoning the evil it will spawn.  People should also withhold taxes funding this, but since education is all funded by Federal, State and Local taxes one would have to refrain from paying all taxes to protest this unconstitutional indoctrination by force, just like ObamaCare forces participation.  This is sick, twisted and evil.  They think they can get away with it because Governors (Republican & Democrat) signed off on this crap!  Governors like Jeb Bush!  This evil should be tied around Jeb's neck and KILL any pretense that elitist prick has to being POTUS!  And that idiot Huckabee is for this crap too!  And the dumbing down baked into this (no remediation) means dumber kids...but the dumb are much more easily herded...so that works for the elitists too!  God, Common Core is pure evil!

HELL NO!!!

More fully-frontal fascism!

Officials at Sacramento Unified School District need to remind themselves that public schools belong to the public, and the public has a right to express itself about education issues.

Katherine Duran is the mother of a student at Sacramento’s Mark Twain Elementary, and one of many parents with deep concerns about the school’s scheduled transformation to Common Core math and English standards in the fall.

As a form of protest, Duran printed out a bunch of forms for parents, which they can sign if they want to have their children opted out of Common Core testing.

She gave the forms to her son, Christopher Duran, who handed them to other students to take home to their parents.

That was obviously too much for school officials, who had a police officer visit Duran’s house and hand her a notice of a 14-day suspension from school property.
http://weaselzippers.us/181741-mother-suspended-from-childs-elementary-school-after-she-raised-awareness-about-common-core/

Free speech and freedom of assembly?  Not in the fascist states of america!

Sick.  And the cop agreeing to do the legwork for these cowardly fascist pricks...SHAME, SHAME!  You are siding with tyranny, don't be crying that "Just doin' my job!" BS later and expect any leniency!!!
