I don't know what to say to people who still insist we must "play by the rules" when there are no longer any hard and fast rules by which to "play".

I don't know.

One may also fight by the rules.  Perhaps Governor Haley will give the Pubbies an object lesson to follow.  Boeing has bent to union boss forever now is the best opportunity the will have to get from under their thumb.

The new Governor of SC said she wasn't going to stand for this. I believe she may be jumping in and head for the courts. The building is being built as we speak so I doubt anybody is backing off with money and a lot of jobs on the line.Nicky Haley didn't look like she was shrinking from this he claws were out.

This is good, she's a fighter. South Carolina was one of the states earliest and hardest hit by the recession, and they need to be stood up for. Lindsey Graham sure isn't gonna frikkin do it.

Obama's disdain for states that don't vote Democrat is palpable, and unacceptable. He lashes out at them whenever he can. He shows a willingness that reveals itself as eagerness, to tangibly harm people he feels are not playing ball according to his rules. Haley can't force Boeing to move to SC against a bureaucratic dictate from the regime, but she certainly can make it known that she's willing to fight on behalf of Boeing and the people of SC.

The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

I think his non-response to the oil spill was also punishment of the Gulf states for being solidly red.

I completely agree. He not only didn't respond, but he wiped out a staple industry by regulatory dictate. I also believe that his move against the GM and Chrysler dealerships, closing down profitable businesses for no logical reason - was an effort to punish an industry whose owners are a reliable GOP donor base.

This guy is out of control.
