Edge of a Revolution

Nickelback aren't a band I ever listen to, but this video for their new song "Edge of a Revolution" was posted at the Western Rifle Shooters site and I thought it was interesting that this feeling of being on the precipice of a major shift has entered into mainstream music as well.

I think a lot of people, even non-political types, have this vague awareness that the status quo can't go on indefinitely.

Nickelback - Edge Of A Revolution (Lyric Video)
"The Fourth Estate is less honorable than the First Profession."

It gets a lot of play on our local hard rock station.  It's the only station I can stand (for music, their morning show is garbage like most FM morning shows are garbage) since the other ones are stuck in hippieville or play softer crap or top 40 trash rap/hip-hop junk etc.  It's not a bad song, many modern rock songs express similar sentiment.  I think there is an increasing awareness (at least at the gut-level) that this crap is insane, unsustainable, etc and it is going to be expressed in different media of the day.  And IIRC Nickleback is a Canadian band.
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.
