I know one of the local recruiters (since retired), and he lost more recruits to not being able to pass a simple drug test then any other thing. He says most cannot even do the simple things one can do to pass it. It seems our area is far worse then average when it comes to drug abuse and it has lead to lower then average recruitment rates. Most recruiters don't like being assigned to the area because it can hurt your career, because your numbers will take a hit, no matter how good you are at the job. He only took it because the area is home and it was his last posting before retirement.
Unless the Obama regime changes the rules on drugs, the military will still reject those who cannot pass a drug test. Even if they are "legal".
