Hyperbole or something substantial?

 ::whatgives::

I hope this Breitbart vibe I have doesn't end the same way...   ::praying::

I guess it just depends on who/what is exposed for what they are.  Probably not a bad idea to proceed cautiously.

Just a "tweet" from O'Keefe.

We have a story we’re going to release this coming week and I've never thought about this before but I am afraid for my life on this one.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

O'Keefe is running a business too
I call "hype" on this one.
If you are afraid for your life, and its that important to risk it,  release it now and pull a Snowden.

I agree.  If you possess knowledge that dangerous, you only increase the supposed risk to yourself by announcing to the world that you have it and will be releasing it "soon."

At first I got a Breitbart vibe, thought maybe somebody was going to take him out in a like manner, IIRC Breitbart promised some exploive new info, perhaps James found the lost treasure of Andrew...

But too much time has passed, the moment is fading...

Options?

1. Hype with no substance

2.  Hype with substance

3.  Possible effort to smoke out a suspect

I agree that if info was already in hand, it would have been released very soon after the social media alert had gone out, so, only options 1 and 3 seem viable.  I hope it is the latter, but we will only know for sure if there is a fizzle or a pop to be witnessed.  Place your bets.

Here it is:

http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2015/02/okeefe-strikes-again-bombshell-investigation-takes-on-shakedown-artist-al-sharpton/

The New York Post reported:

Quote
...     Al Sharpton is all about the Benjamins, a daughter of police chokehold victim Eric Garner claims in a bombshell videotape.

Erica Snipes tees off on the reverend as interested primarily in money during a secretly recorded conversation by controversial conservative activist James O’Keefe’s group, Project Veritas.

One of O’Keefe’s investigators poses as a Garner supporter with a hidden camera during a protest last month at the St. George Ferry Terminal on Staten Island.

“You think Al Sharpton is kind of like a crook in a sense?” the investigator is heard asking Garner’s oldest daughter.

“He’s about this,” Snipes replies, rubbing her fingers together.

“He’s about money with you?” the undercover asks.

    “Yeah,” Snipes responds.

Snipes, 24, also complained that the Staten Island director of Sharpton’s National Action Network, Cynthia Davis, scolded her for handing out street fliers about her father’s case that did not include NAN’s logo.

Read the rest here.

UPDATE: O’Keefe’s Project Veritas website went down this morning after the video was released.

UPDATE: The website is back up.

Al Sharpton being a crook isn't exactly groundbreaking.

My thought exactly...

I posted a NY Post link on the same topic here and I did not pick up the fact that this was the Earth-shattering revelation being promoted...

I guess the real result was Option 4 - Hype with very little shock value.

It could have legs though...if only because Big Race-Baiter, Inc will beat up a white man for exploiting a person of color...after all, if anybody exploits a person of color it had better only be Big Race-Baiter, Inc, or there be a heap 'o trouble!

What is ground breaking is members of the Black Community have taken exception to the way Sharpton and NAN operate. All us caulks have known this a long time. Younger Blacks have seen Rev. Al's MO and have decided he needs to go. (So they can step in and reap the Benjamins)

See: Sharpton and COMCAST sued for twenty billion. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/feb/24/al-sharpton-comcast-sued-for-racial-discrimination/
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living
are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

Yeah BAS, that story isn't getting a lot of play in the so-called "unbaised mainstream media", why Gosh, I wonder how that could possibly be?!
