As with any storm...people should know if they can stay and are prepared or if they should get up and go...but as we all know not everybody came make those intelligent decisions are rely on others to make them for them (a state of being I frankly cannot understand or relate to)...so it will be a mixed bag...and with the usual suspects blaming others like Trump for their own errors and inadequacies.

When in doubt, GTFO!

We shall see...

As for ideas to stop it...having shot down other ideas...and past ideas like seeding with dry ice (1947) never really replicated on a large scale...why not gather as much dry ice as possible and blanket that sucker with it and see if we can starve the beast?

A small tactical nuke, targeting the eye should provide a sufficient shock wave to collapse the eye and cause the remainder of the storm to dissipate.

Yeah...the presscorpse had fun teasing POTUS over that thought...though those he posed it too thought it a good question in terms of defeating the storm...but the radioactive impact would be a PR nightmare even if not a real one...and would have to be done well out at sea away from populated land areas so enough time elapsed to dissipate.  And how many times can that be tried before it is detrimental and do we really want to give other powers that license?  But if messing with the heat/moisture/air fueling the storm is the key...why can't coordinated multiple MOAB air-bursts be tried to the same effect?

Hopefully inland enough...flooding and tornado action to look out for though.  Sounds like this sucker is staying mostly out to sea and expected to race up from Florida to the Carolina's.  Staying at to sea (the further the better) would be good...and they weatherlings are saying guiding currents have stalled and it is it's own momentum and moss moving it along and how it interacts with that high-pressure currently over Virginia.

 Were far enough away from the shoreline to be more than safe at this point but me being me I still bought fuel and fire up the generators just in case a wolf does show up.  Tomorrow I'll pull the plugs on the generators and clean them if not replace them just for sh*ts and giggles.

 Having been through 5 of these suckers I have learned not to take my eyes off them.
