Yeah, sounds reasonable...people had sense...not like today...idiots would be rioting in the street demanding the government give them new homes, free food and medicine...free drugs...regular stipends...I think your ancestors would throw such into the volcano!

Back in the day in the Reggio Calabria region people built round stone homes small poor region and when the tax man came around they would take them down and when the government left they put them back up in a day. Now you can go to those areas and buy homes for one Euro.
