Cognitive Dissonance.
« on: November 08, 2020, 09:36:17 AM »
I have found the BEST  way to irritate these people  is to engage their "gee I am such a smart guy" arrogance then them get them to answer questions

Many of you have seen my "tests' before.. This is a short one - and I am of course taking criticism and suggestions for edits, additions and  deletions...because I still suffer horribly from an inability to be pithy ..but I ask that everyone start posting these where the libtards will see them - social media and otherwise.. and feel free to modify them ad use them as your own if needed.  But trust me- if you want to make them hurt-- this hurts them- and the best part is they are usually confused at their own reaction to them.. They are completely unhelpful in that they shut down discussion immediately - often pushing straight to red faced rage..

1)   Donald Trump is a threat to America’s Democratic process  because:
a.   He supports the use of a fraud prone Mail in voting process where both authentication of the vote and a chain of custody for the ballot are non-existent
b.   He supports illegally ejecting legal poll observers
c.   He supports illegally backdating ballots or allowing them to be accepted days after the election is over
d.   He supports using computer systems known to introduce counting errors
e.   He supports allowing criminals to vote illegally (Like illegal immigrants)
f.   There currently is no dog in the White House.
g.   Fill in the Blank _________________________________________

2)   Joe Biden should pack the Supreme Court because:

a.   Explaining an agreement one way to obtain consent and then another when it is politically  expedient is a honest and upright way of dealing with your fellow citizens, and the court should be allowed that power on a partisan basis
b.   The Founders formed the court as a group of wise philosopher kings, bound not to interpret the Constitution in light of We the People consented to, but to decide what the constitution SHOULD say or would say if the American people were truly enlightened.
c.   An originalist court would interpret the constitution according to the understanding of that document We The People had when it was ratified
d.   An originalist court may overturn prior decisions and laws that violated the consent of the governed
e.   An originalist court may prevent imposing new laws that violate the consent of the governed
f.   Fill in the Blank _________________________________________

3)   Abortion is a “ right” because :

a.   A person’s rights don’t end where the rights of another begin, but where each woman , from her lived experience, says they should begin
b.   A fetus is part of the mother’s body, formed by budding, and carries the same DNA
c.   A fetus is the sole property of the mother
d.   A Man has no right or obligation to care for the fetus or ( eventually)   a child they  fathered
e.   Society has no right or obligation to protect living creatures from pain and suffering
f.   A fetus is only  scientifically a human being, but  not a person with rights of its own  until, one day , it magically becomes one when it is born. Or maybe a few minutes after that.
g.   Fill in the Blank _________________________________________

4)   Creating Lists of political opposition for  the purposes of Political persecution and Blacklisting is :

a.   A Healthy and good way to use political power
b.   Nothing like what Mao or Stalin did
c.   Exactly what McCarthy did, only he did it against the “wrong people”
d.   Ensuring that the laws apply equally to all
e.   Fill in the Blank _________________________________________

5)   Collectivism – The belief that the good of the community comes before the good of the individual , and the political systems based upon it ( Marxism, socialism, communism, fascism…) are compatible with the Traditional American values stated in the Declaration of Independence  in that:

a.   The legitimate purpose of government is to act as a shepherd and to  secure material well being for a human herd,  and violating   the inalienable rights of individuals is permissible if it found necessary to accomplish that
b.   Freedom is what one has left over after others have made demands, and any individual who  opposes such demands is selfish.
c.   Everyone belongs to everyone else and is a form of collective property and no  individual  may rightfully  claim ownership of his own person, decisions, labor or property
d.   No individual’s inalienable  rights may be violated unless doing so is deemed to be for the benefit of the community
e.   Individual Rights are granted to /or rescinded from individuals via the consent of the governed
f.   By pursuing one ideological notion  of “the common good” ,  everyone’s idea of the common good is accommodated
g.   If “society”  determines that the  common good is served by forcing individuals to buy  the correct type of health care coverage,  or to express the right  values and only the true facts ( as determined by leaders) , or to silence the wrong ideas and values , or use the right type of fuels, or live in the right type of houses, or celebrate the right type of relationships by baking cakes or taking pictures, or using the right pronouns based on the arbitrary preferences of strangers,  then that should happen, and those who don’t obey should be persecuted and punished.
h.   If leaders determine that the common good is served by forcing a sick, perverted or detrimental segment of the society that rejects the “societies”  idea of “the common good”   into concentration camps or slavery, then that should happen.

I appreciate the effort you've gone to but I have to (sincerely) ask: What kind of response do you typically receive?

I ask because the answer I typically get is, "Abortion is a right because f**k you!" Joe Biden should pack the Supreme Court because f**k you!" "We won and you lost. It doesn't matter that we cheated - all that matters is that we won. And f**k you!"

Now mind you - I'm like a traffic cop when I engage these morons. I may smile and speak in soft reassuring tones, but there is always the implicit threat of violence looming there.

It's probably good that things have been shut down these last few months because my attitude has been getting worse week by week.

Arguing with idiots has proven fruitless and frankly somewhat irritating. I propose hunting them for sport instead.

Yes that is WHY  I give them a fill in the blank (  if they actually do it, its often hilarious)
Its not meant to convince them or change minds. Its meant to provoke (an ideally record)  their irrational, hateful and incivil bullsh*t
If I got your response in the black I would be overjoyed.
In reality they get so angry they WILL NOT RESPOND AT ALL.  If you can watch its really fun-- there is confusion in their face - I am good at tests! I should be able to answer this! THen the red creeps in , a hot rage and anger. Then they crumple it up and walk away .

From that moment forward you remind them that you tried to engage in a civil rational  conversation by asking them a fair question and that they refused to have it, so they can stop pretending to others and to themselves that they are in any way a fair, good, moral  or nice individual

Which are the characteristics of a Survey, which the characteristic of an election,  and which are both?
(survey/election) Forms are sent to anyone who asks – and sometimes even those who don’t – without verification of the identity of the recipient
(survey/election) Forms can  get lost on the way to or on the way back from individuals
(survey/election) Forms can be filled out by people they aren’t addressed to
(survey/election) Forms are  tallied in private
(survey/election) Multiple forms can be filled out by the same individual
(survey/election) Forms can be intercepted and altered by anyone on the way to being tallied
(survey/election) Forms can  be counted twice
(survey/election) Forms can be discarded into the trash  at any time and by anyone
(survey/election) Forms are legally provided only upon verification of the individual’s identity and right to have the form, and violators investigated, charged  and legally prosecuted
(survey/election) Steps are taken to ensure any individual can only fill out the form once -violators are investigated, charged and legally prosecuted
(survey/election) A transparent chain of custody is established and enforced for the form from its creation to its being tallied an secured  - violators are investigated, charged and legally  prosecuted
(survey/election) Observers are allowed to challenge the process and when steps are not  taken to ensure forms are not lost or altered on the way to being tallied -violators who hamper this are investigated, charged and legally prosecuted
(survey/election) A form can only  be counted once, violators are investigated, charged and legally prosecuted
(survey/election) A form cannot be discarded or altered after counting- violators are investigated, charged and legally  prosecuted

Exit question: Did America just conduct an election or a Survey?

Now that resonates almost perfectly with me...the only difference being the inclusion of at least 10 naughty words in my version.

 ::cussing::
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.
