ETA: Last week Krauthammer referred to him as "undisciplined".

You'd kinda think they'da had these things hammered out before starting a campaign. I don't believe I've ever seen a national campaign implode this badly this quickly.

Gingrich is completely wasting his time. He needs to start a think-tank or something. On second thought, no thank you. He needs to write a history book every couple years, and GTFO of politics.

I'm hoping and praying that this is indeed the work of Divine Providence! It's rather uncanny how badly some of these turds have stepped in it, and so early too. Gingrich needs to just go home and get out of the public eye with whatever tattered reputation he might still have.

The longer he persists in this the more he illustrates the apparent disdain he has for our intelligence.

That's who gNewt is.  He isn't stupid, capable of stupid things yes, but he sees himself as a great thinker first, and that's what gets him into trouble...he has too many ideas, lacks focus, and cannot convey simple ideas into condensed language people can understand.  He's a nuance guy and a policy wonk in a world populated with people who have no time to listen to windy dissertations.  His staff was really miffed that he attacked the Ryan plan and then decided to go on vacation.  The do not view him as a serious candidate for many reasons and they are right.

Perry probably wouldn't be the worst possibility, but I do wonder if the Texas governorship isn't a liability right now. I think the country at large still has "Texas fatigue". As for me, I've got a raging case of Chicago fatigue.
