Elden Ring - A newer video game
« on: July 17, 2024, 12:48:58 PM »
I just learned from an old and ancient GF that this game Elden Ring  is a well known thing now even to her. She knows of it not plays it. I do not try to become aware of younger popular culture but every now and them I dabble. I will return to ignoring most of this young stuff

I am not a gamer and will not become one and my PC is not good enough. Apparently this company developed a new game different from the others and marketed it by almost not marketing it. It pissed off the gaming establishment by doing a game different. Some parts are very hard. You have to kill many so called "bosses" to make it to the end of the game.

Anyway one of the hardest bosses is Malenia, having long red hair.

I am hooked on a Russian amateur musician Alina Gingertail who often does covers of video game music and often does what younger people call "cosplay" (costume play) to match the game. It seems she is a gamer and maybe a geek so she did a cover.

Here is an intro to the tough boss Malenia and what good video games look like now.

This made me aware of why the Alina fans went nuts over the recent music video below.

Even if my rig could handle this, it would have to be on easy mode.  I can't control my wrists like I used to.

They say this game has no easy mode OR that the easy mode is watching youtube to get hints. I am way too old to play such games.
