Ironic in the fact that Solingen, a German city famous for its quality steel production, is the producer of many quality knives and razors. Their pocket knives were some of the best, in my opinion, but many brands have been discontinued apparently--really hard to find except offered on e-bay as "vintage" with a very high price tag:
Buck Creek, Indian Head, Kissing Crane, Hen and Rooster, German Eye, et al. (I own one each of the latter 2)
Especially ironic if the assailant used a Solingen made knife.
