POTUS 47 - Second Trump Term Thread

Seems fitting to kick this off with the work already done by Sundance at CTH...

Suggestions For President Donald Trump Staffing of Key Positions 2025
November 6, 2024 | Sundance | 403 Comments

Grab your favorite beverage, this is long.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2024/11/06/suggestions-for-president-donald-trump-staffing-of-key-positions-2025/

Pretty close to what he's written about on this subject earlier...but I would caution against picking anybody from the 119th Congress, unless from a state with a MAGA friendly Governor who will agree to backfill a seat with a good MAGA supporting candidate.

Gotta long way to go, a lot of heavy work ahead and getting the right team together is just Step #1 of a thousand steps!

Onward Christian soldier!

Stuck with Powell at Fed for another year and a half...

WH CoS selected -

The first selection by President Trump, highlighting his team to enter the White House, has been made.  President Trump selects Susie Wiles to be his Chief of Staff in the White House.  Mrs Wiles will be the first female White House Chief of Staff in history.

As for this....

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2024/11/07/senator-john-thune-requests-president-trump-stay-out-of-the-senate-majority-leader-decision/

...I don't see Trump treading to hard on Senate business...I think he knows his agenda and his success is their success in their little collegial fiefdoms and their prosects for retaining them in the Mid-Terms...

Richard Gere said he is selling his $11M CT home and leaving the US bc Trump was elected. I always liked him. I hope he has lots of company in such people that leave.

I first saw Gere in Days of Heaven and last in Norman. I loved both movies. Gere is from Syracuse.

For any movie fans, here are the trailers. Both are tragic movies.
When the trestle scene appeared the movie theater audience gasped.

And yes, they need to do this so no time is lost...as I said, they cannot merely hit the ground running...they have to hit the ground going hyper-sonic...

And, that Main Justice is sh*tting itself is not surprising...

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2024/11/10/lawfare-operatives-at-doj-are-panicked-about-what-president-donald-trump-will-do-inside-main-justice/

For them...I hope it is immensely worse!

https://youtu.be/dDpQmCGjEPc

And it appears Trump has selected Elise Stefanik as UN Ambassador....which I hope doesn't eff up House control...but at current 214-203 and 18 undecided but going by safer margins vs thinner margins at worse it might break something like 222-213, so s/b fine...but we cannot put many seats at risk with appointments.

Another good pick for Dpty WH CoS - https://therightscoop.com/breaking-trump-names-his-deputy-white-house-chief-of-staff-and-this-is-how-cnn-and-ap-are-reporting-it/

That the MFM goes apesh*t is proof enough of the quality of the selection.

Real Justice for real criminal behavior is not retaliation or revenge...it is reestablishing the rule of law by holding oath-breakers accountable for their actions.

We will see who flees and who tries to defend their corrupt criminal actions.

And while the corrupt in the Senate may get their guy...

...the results of any selection should be transparent for the American people to know who is responsible...even though it should not be very hard to guess...

...

Scots Irish, how so?  I got one of those swimming in my genes...probably explains this kind of behavior...
...

The Scots Irish are known for their over representation in the US military. The Romans never civilized the Scots who preferred feuds and fighting. The Brits forced many to move to Ireland to undermine the Catholics/Anglicans. Sen Webb wrote a book on them titled "Born Fighting."

Key Points Summary:

The Scots-Irish are descendants of Scottish Presbyterians who settled in Ireland (Ulster) in the 17th century and later emigrated to the United States.
They were integral to the development of the American frontier, especially in Appalachia and the South.
They had a significant influence on American music, religion, and political culture.
Today, many people of Scots-Irish descent are part of broader Anglo-American or Appalachian communities in the U.S.

Several U.S. Presidents are of Scots-Irish (or Ulster Scots) heritage, reflecting the significant migration of Scots-Irish people to America, especially in the 18th century. Here are the presidents with notable Scots-Irish ancestry:
1. Andrew Jackson (7th President)

2. Thomas Jefferson (3rd President)

3. James Knox Polk (11th President)

4. Abraham Lincoln (16th President)

5. Ulysses S. Grant (18th President)

6. Woodrow Wilson (28th President)
7. Lyndon B. Johnson (36th President)

8. Richard Nixon (37th President)

9. Bill Clinton (42nd President)

Ahh yes, you triggered a memory now...

IIRC the Scots-Irish and Scot and Irish...presence in the US military seems to have increased right about the time the civil war broke out...it really was brother vs brother, immigrant vs immigrant...

Q - JFK just Irish, not Scots-Irish?  Thought Clinton & Tip O'Neil were also just regular Irish.  So, was Mel Brooks painting with too wide a brush about the Irish in Blazing Saddles?   ::laughonfloor::

Also hoping these rumors are false...leaked to be nuked by MAGA folks aghast at the implications...

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2024/11/11/strong-rumors-rubio-at-state-waltz-as-natsec-kash-at-cia/

As for me...

...I want as much as humanly possible...and then more effort!

And, yeah...

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/they-just-got-handed-fraudulent-books-ed-dowd-warns-trump-inheriting-turd-economy

...another reason I've mentioned for hitting the ground and hypersonic speed!

And IMO I think Trump needs to weigh in on this new Senate Majority Leader vote that IMO it happening much too soon...

Because Thune, Cornyn and any RINO/Cuck simply is not acceptable given the clear unambiguous mandate We the People gave Donald J. Trump one week ago!!!

Do not defy us!!!

Oh, and one more thing we need to do...

Good start, how many are we talking about though?

https://thelibertydaily.com/rumor-kristi-noem-tapped-as-homeland-security-secretary/

I don't see a problem with the dog thing...neighbor hunts everything, never tolerated a bod hunting dog...it is not uncommon in rural areas...and this article omits the biting incidents for this case...

I think this is Trump responding to Senate leadership issue indirectly...

https://rumble.com/v5og6bn-trump-advisor-corey-lewandowski-completely-exposed-john-thune-as-mitch-mcco.html

MAGA mandate!  Denying it is impossible.

https://rumble.com/v5og6r2-anna-paulina-luna-mcconnell-has-done-more-harm-to-this-country-than-schumer.html

Can't argue with that.

https://rinowatch.com/report-republican-internal-whip-count-for-leadership-vote-on-wednesday-is-leaked-42-members-support-war-pigs-cornyn-and-thune-call-your-senator-and-demand-they-vote-for-the-republ/

Shameful...Senators given the majority due to Trump landslide...denying the Will of the People!

Lot's of good ideas here - https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/11/what-trump-can-do-military/

And I don't blame Melania one bit for bowing out of this BS - https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/11/melania-trump-will-snub-jill-biden-skip-traditional/

A spouse, son, daughter...any family as the right to hold a grudge against those who's rhetoric contributed to ginning up hate in their rabid street rabble to the point of attempting assassination of their loved one!

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/11/melania-trump-will-snub-jill-biden-skip-traditional/

And House control appears certain - https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/11/breaking-gop-keeps-control-house-republicans-will-control/

And I expect the final number to be nearer 222.

Already e-mailed my one Senator who is supporting Thune,  yesterday,  and voiced my disapproval in her not supporting Scott (Blackburn--Hagarty supports Scott).  And am encouraging others of like mind to do likewise.  Keep it short and sweet,  firm but polite.

We can make a difference if enough people let their voices be heard.
Remember back in 2007 when G-Dub Bush and the Gang of Eight (to include  Juan McCain),  were promoting a bill to give amnesty to illegals?  They were so inundated with complaints from their constituency,  they pulled the plug on it.
We can make a difference.
