I'm back and got a story but first a little family history. We went with relatives ( Glen and Sylvia, all related on wifes side), 2 bedroom and also had another 2 bedroom for glens married daughters family. All live in Mississippi.
My wife: half peurto rican. father full blooded.
Me: American (caucasion)
Glen: American (caucasion)
Sylvia : full blooded peurto rican
Julie: daughter: half peurto rican
Eduardo: husband: full blooded Mexican
2 kids: Peurto rican, mexican mix. Actually look Indian...LOL.
Now, they had a guest with them who is now a citizen but is from Brazil. A soccer coach, who taught thier kids in a soccer camp IN Brazil (they had sent their kids there) and somehow he decided to come to USA and became a citizen. They told me the story but frankly, with the heavy accent, my southern butt didn't understand half the words. I smiled a lot.
Now, all are successful. Glen owns a brokerage business and Eduardo and Julie own 3 restaurants ( mexican, of course) in Mississippi. As a sidenote he cooked every nite....God, the food was good....Mexican dishes and a few brizallian dishes throw in....but I digress......
I had some issues understanding all the conversation....But there was one little tidbit they kept saying which included the word "obama" in it.....So I'm thinking, great, Glens family are all looney dems ( he certainly is not) and I'm beginning to think "this ain't gonna turn out well"..... But each time, they would disappear, then come back with something like " he'll like that bomb" or " That fax was a little smeared"....
I come to find out, when they had to "go" each would announce, even the kids, " I gotta go send obama a message". Turns out all are conservative.....
