Obama’s Plea to Flood Congress

Obama’s Plea to Flood Congress With Calls Backfires in One Member’s Office
My phone started lighting up last night. Both Twitter, Facebook, texting, people calling me even last night during the speech. It was a reverse effect from what I think he assumed. They’ve been flooded with people contacting me, saying, ‘Stand your ground. Don’t do his plan.’

And fewer and fewer who do see things his way. Outside of mental institutions.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

Well, posting at Heritage is a waste of time.  My comment was deleted as soon as it was posted.  ::bashing::

What did you write there that they apparently found objectionable?

Nothing.  I just responded to the first moron, playing off his post.

"calls for compromise" is the key to this thinly disguised piece of propaganda...

I get the Heritage newsletter in one of my email accounts. They seem like very sincere, committed people, but also very straight-arrow. Perhaps it is an unfair observation, but I don't think any of them would be too comfortable with me at one of their parties.  :o

I even heard a clip on Beck's radio show this morning of Jay Carney again playing teacher scolding his students when members of the White House press corps actually brought up the fact that there is no "Obama plan" for the debt ceiling debate. Carney made the comment that the question is "just a Republican talking point" and that it was addressed on Friday, adding "I don't know if you were there that day, I know some of you decided to duck out early" to which the room responded with a somewhat astonished sound of offense at this professorial lecturing.

I know at the end of the day they will reliably toe the line for the Left, but surely even members of the media have to be getting rubbed the wrong way by this administration.

If a few can be peeled away....
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

I'm confident that a few can be - or already have been. Whether or not those few will make any fundamental difference in the press's interactions with the White House remains to be seen.

The reason why is that, despite the press's decidedly leftist tilt in personal ideology, they are being treated poorly by the klowns in Øbozoville. They are getting the same bum's rush that they thought would be reserved for conservatives. At some point they are going to collectively say, "Screw this sh!t". You'll recognize it when it happens because the tone towards the a-hole barkers like carny will mirror what's been going their direction for a while now.

I just got off a telephone town hall with my congressman,it lasted about two hours and he had been asking for ideas as to the debt and time was very short when he got to me(i wasn't expecting it to happen) he asked which plan I favored,so since the numbers have to be reworked on all the plans out there I told him that I was for the plan that Obama hated the most whatever that one ends up being and that when it gets passed I wanted the house repubs to present the president with a can of peas.

Part of me enjoys the medias treatment. They come to see the conservatives (Fox) get fed a chit sandwich and they get one themselves. Poor treatment, no respect, belittled, lectured...... part hits my funnybone.

I'll believe the media's turning when idiot carney makes another inappropriate comment, like ducking out, and they return fire. When in thier eyes is the "look in the mirror, asswipe", as IPD posted.

Until then, I'll just have to be satisfied understanding media types are sprinting to thier shrink, panting and perplexed as to the boorish treatment by the smartest person in the room and his minions. They are supposed to be homeys.
