Your Saturday night musical interlude

Joan Osborne's cover of "Son of a Preacher Man".  I found it while strolling around YouTube.

We are so far past and beyond the “long train of abuses and usurpations” that the Colonists and Founders experienced and which necessitated the Revolutionary War that they aren’t even visible in the rear-view mirror.

I had the privilege of backing a singer who had chops like this. Her problem was that she preferred to sing crap lioke Melissa Etheridge and Alanis Morissette and Pink. My problem was that, although I could play her music, I was so bored with it that I found it an irresistible temptation to "spice it up" ;)

Those times when we were in sync it was awesome.  :supercool:
