First -

http://rt.com/usa/news/homeland-security-journalists-monitoring-321/

You think NOC & OPS are keeping tabs on us?

"can collect personal information from news anchors, journalists, reporters or anyone who may use 'traditional and/or social media in real time to keep their audience situationally aware and informed.' "

Kinda  B  R  O  A  D  charter (real or manufactured, doesn't matter to these clowns, eh?) don't ya think?

Hey NOC/OPS?!

The FBI Biometric Database...growing larger everyday.

http://www.alternet.org/rights/153664/5_things_you_should_know_about_the_fbi%7Cs_massive_new_biometric_database/?page=entire

So much packed into one simple little question...

What could possibly go wrong?

Too much, far far too much!!!

The GOP has been co-opted as well. I don't trust Romney with the direction of these powers any more than I trust Obama.
We are being set up for a totalitarian state- it seems the only real question is who will be running the show as the public face, and who is pulling the strings in the shadows.

Nor Gingrich.  Nor, now that I muse on it, any of them.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely!  Even a saintly leader would be tempted at some point to use power available to him...all in the name of "the greater good" or "because I know in my heart I will not abuse this"...

Pah!

Just makes it easier for a Tyrant to use it...sooner or later...and nothing good will become of it for those on the receiving end!

Didn't the NDAA pass the Senate by something like 93-7?

Yeah, it was a sick vote. We are NOT being represented by any stetch of the imagination.  I think the host is suffering from too many parasites, soon there will not be a corpse worth resurrecting...

A privacy advocacy group has swayed Congress to hold a hearing next week into the Department of Homeland Security’s practice of monitoring social networks such as Twitter and Facebook, as well as media reports and organizations, including The Drudge Report.
“The Department of Homeland Security’s monitoring of political dissent has no legal basis and is contrary to core First Amendment principles,”
http://www.infowars.com/group-forces-congressional-hearing-on-big-sis-twitter-drudge-spying/

It is sad that it takes a private organization and a FOIA request to get the Obama Regime's unconstitutional crap a hearing in the United States Congress!

But, unfortunately this to is just more kabuki theater!

"The Congressional hearing, DHS Monitoring of Social Networking and Media: Enhancing Intelligence Gathering and Ensuring Privacy, will be held Thursday February 16th.  However, it is already apparent where the House subcommittee for intelligence and counter-terrorism stands on the matter. As reported by Reuters, the top two members of the subcommittee, Rep. Patrick Meehan (R-PA) and Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA), wrote to DHS Intelligence Chief Caryn Wagner last month, pressing her to more carefully monitor users’ posts on sites such as Facebook and Twitter, in order to help detect 'current or emerging threats.'  As we have also previously reported, The DHS has openly announced that it is actively monitoring social media for signs of 'social unrest', in a bid to pre-empt any sign of social dislocation within the United States."

You want to know where the fvcking "social unrest" is dumbasses?  You outta know, you're creating it!  Fvcking Gestapo thugs!

They hit the hornets nest and when the hornets fly they are tagged.  All hornets must be tagged.

Not too big, not too small, just big enough to slip your political opponents into the mix.

Since I don't trust the Obama Regime I am putting the odds at 60:40 for this thing being a tech toy to be used against us vs our external enemies...
