Good interview!

Oddly enough, I do not own any Levin books, but I think that is about to change.

Yup, "Liberty & Tyranny" was top-notch - a must read. The subtitle is "a conservative manifesto", and it is exactly that. I'll definitely be reading "Ameritopia".
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

I think in some ways, Obama will be as dangerous as a former president as his is in office. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Malik Shabazz, and Lewis Farrakhan all wrapped up in one in a "mainstream" package, with the adoration of half the people, a compliant media, and the clout of a former president. He will be unfettered and fully able to unleash his anti-American class warfare and race-division rhetoric without concern for re-election.

Only for the next ten years.  After that he'll have to spring for private security or shut up in seclusion.
