Perry Pulls The Plug
« on: January 19, 2012, 09:40:49 AM »
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/01/19/breaking-perry-to-drop-out-thursday/

Left with two Big Government Repub's and Santorum, with Paul lurking and snickering...poor Santorum is going to be targeted next!

The wrong Texan got eliminated, I think.

Explains Palin's cozying up to gNewt, probably got wind of Perry's decision...wonder how she feels about open marriage gNewt now?

This race is almost all but over, as is the fate of the nation...

I'd like to know which came first, her decision or his.
I think he was hoping for her endorsement.
My perception has been that she, DeMint, and Rubio
are the king makers.

I'm willing to pull the lever for Newt at this point.

It's a shame Perry's candidacy got off to such a poor start. The missteps were of his own making. You don't jump into running for president without making preparations, both internally and externally. Hell, Herman Cain was more prepared in some regards.

So, one solid Federalist down the tubes. One extremist Federalist remaining. None with a shot.

Gingrich and Romney.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

I think Newt has a shot.  If he disciplines himself and doesn't grenade
the evangelicals or self destruct with the base in some other way he
can talk his way through the mushy middle.  Pied Piper, if you will.

I rarely get to listen to Rush, but I believe Newt can and will get the male vote.....But it is the female vote which concerns me...it is where Rush took all the complaints today, as far as his "open marriage" history.

If Newt is sincere and truely changed, he can diffuse all the speculation and talk if he comes out, admits his mistakes and states they are in his past......

The truth is a powerful tool....If Newt truely has changed.

As I understand it, he's already done that.

How many more times must he do so?
