The Brietbart CPAC Speech: Required Viewing
« on: February 10, 2012, 08:37:32 PM »
I decided to put this one in its own thread (rather than lumping it in the CPAC thread) because it's just that good.

You have to watch this. Watch it all. It will warm your heart. Sorry, but there is not a youtube video available yet so you will have to click on the link and watch it at Mediaite.

Quote
“I have videos, this election we’re going to vet him,” Breitbart disclosed to raucous applause. “We are going to vet him from his college days to show you why racial division and class warfare are central to what hope and change was sold in 2008.”

In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

God bless and protect Andrew Breitbart.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Is it just me or did Breitbart seem like he'd enjoyed a few adult beverages before speaking?  He's a good man fighting the good fight.

Can't get Mediaite to work for me, it's like circular logic.

Here's a youtube audio only if Mediaite doesn't work:

ETA: "And we're coming to get you. Thank you very much."

And here's and A/V via RightScoop that works for me:

And yeah, he's enjoying the moment.

He is!  "..................... war."  He's calling 'em out, and with a smile; about time somebody has.

Imagine how uncomfortable the CountryClubbers at CPAC must be watching the Breitbarts, the Wests, etc, receive the lion's share of the attention and accolades at CPAC.

I do imagine.  I imagine them shifting nervously from foot-to-foot, or in their chairs, as it occurs to them how many do not wish them well; as it's beginning to dawn that they are on their way to being overruled and superceded.

I can also imagine the clucking and tsking at Breitbart's language and assertion as well --- "just not done"; too much "tone".

I imagine this doesn't bother them at all, IDP.
This is our little catharsis.
Remember, last year Ron Paul won the straw poll.
Beck spoke and trashed the establishment.

The country clubbers control the party and count the votes

They should be uncomfortable. After all, they are like fish out of water at the Conservative Political Action Committee meeting.

Yes, they should be uncomfortable because we are determined to make them follow the Whigs into the history books.  I consider the milquetoast establishment GOP just as much the enemy as I do the Left.

I just read elsewhere (unconfirmed) that mittens has "won" the CPAC straw poll. Color me unimpressed.

You have the money. You buy the tickets. You bus in your supporters and they vote. Simple process, really. Ron Paul did it the last two years and for some reason decided to spend his money elsewhere this go 'round.

The two things that came out of it that are raising eyebrows are Santorum's strong second place finish and Gingrich's weak third place finish. Gingrich has been a CPAC favorite for years so he is supposed to do well there regardless of money spent. He should have had the strong second place finish but instead it went to Santorum who spent virtually nothing. Romney can spin this as a big win but he paid for it.

He blew it.  Mitt Romney took the wind out of the best debater.  He banked on it and he crapped out.
