Civil Rights Movement obsession?
« on: February 20, 2012, 02:09:41 PM »
I find this a bit disturbing. Why does the Left insist on emphasizing the civil rights movement? is this all they have? Suddenly anything MLK is a historical monument now? The lunch counter, the Lorraine motel...it's kinda creepy.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Might we also enshrine plagiarism of one's doctoral dissertation as the highest achievement of scholasticism? If you disagree you're a racist!

The Civil Rights Movement: That time in history when Progressive Statists realized that they could hijack the Civil Rights movement in order to brand their opponents falsely as racists.
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living
are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

And indenture the useful idiots onto the democrat plantation by sprinkling them with the crumbs from the OPM they steal from their common enemies!
