“As a small business owner, defender of capitalism, and advocate of free speech, I am putting my money where my conservative, free-market principles are. TWITCHY.COM is proud to join companies across the country that advertise with talk show giant Rush Limbaugh and his Excellence In Broadcasting network. Today, we will begin running ads on the RushLimbaugh.com website.”
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

I don't like that site. It allows too many tweets by radical leftists to be front & center. They need to get rid of the tweet displays

Well, to be honest.  I'll twitch, about as often as I'll need "male enhancement" pills or deadbeat services.

Just bein' honest

I'll be on that list.

I've only taken a cursory glance, but from what I can tell, twitchy is a twitter aggregation site. I think that's pretty brilliant, when so often now tweets are an integral part of a news story.

If you think about how something becomes newsworthy when it explodes on twitter, and take into account the chaotic format of twitter, it makes sense to have a place dedicated to following trends and aggregating those trends into a non-twitter-like format that is easier to read.

And how often now does someone tweet something and then scurry to remove it or delete their account?

Not anymore.

I think it's a great idea (even though I don't really twitter).  But even when you aggregate the twitterverse, there's still a bunch of cultural(?) junk to weed through.  For instance, right now Twitter remembers Biggie Smalls.  But there are categories like "Politics" and "Global News" that you can link to.  We'll see if it's worthy enough to become part of my daily browsing habits.
