LEGOs for girls--oh, the horror!

Legos for girls has feminists ugly women upset

Quote
But the SPARK Movement objects to the "LadyFigs," the female version of the little figures who man the spaceships, trucks and forts children create. "Ladyfigs" are somewhat anatomically correct, which hypersexualizes girls, according to the group.

"They have little breasts and they have fancy hair," the organization's executive director, Dana Edell, told FoxNews.com. "And it just disturbs us that this is the image that they want girls to see."

Edell also objects to what she calls stereotyping of preferred pastimes for girls.

"What it's doing is telling girls that this is what's important to you," Edell said of the beauty parlor and hot tub sets. "Girls aren't building space shuttles, they're getting their nails done."

Girls were getting their nails done long before there were girly LEGOs.

THIS is "little breasts and fancy hair"?!  This is hardly more than the traditional "boxy figures"; the feminazis are just pissed off that the thing is readily identifiable by children as female.  And they're so pissed, they want to be able to keep LEGO from selling it.  Yeah, big believers in "choice", aren't they.

Does LEGO even sell giant boxes of plain blocks anymore?  The last time I checked (for the nephews) everything was a kit designed to build something specific.  I loved LEGOs myself, and Lincoln Logs.  (My only advice to LEGO is put more clear "window" blocks in.)  What did I build?  A house.  Then I built furniture for the house.

My 8 year old daughter LOVES these by the way. First Lego we have been able to convince her to really play with.
Don't the Femnazis know that Lego is how you get you kid to grow up to be an engineer?

I still have Random's Legos (some things are harder to let go of) and she would have killed for these extra characters. Of all the things to get their nickers in a knot over this has to take the cake.

I'll bet if the female Legos had butch haircuts, little mustaches, and penny loafers, the "feminists" wouldn't have bothered getting their panties... uh... boxers in a bunch.

That's because feminists are really masculists.

So self respecting lesbo would touch that.....
