H/T - IOTW

Pay special attention to the Diktator Obama House Special, the discounts offered, and the Founding beliefs and principles announced!

The Obama thing is priceless, hence the posting here...but places like this should be in every city in America!  If that were so perhaps we wouldn't be so deep in the stuff as we are now!

Bravo!  Well done American Diner of Liverpool, NY!

Wow, the American Diner looks like a place I'd like to call (second) home! Their prices compare very favorably with the fare around these parts and their attitude is outstanding!

Yeah, that would be my kind of place too.  I just noticed the "Anti-Michelle Obama, don't tell me what to eat or feed my kids burger"!  and I bet if I wanted Poutine they'd fix it up right too!

That reminds me, how did the Welsh/English let the Irish steal St. Patrick?   ::pokeineye::

His name is actually Patricius, born of Roman-named father Calpornius.  Even if some local blood mixed with the Latin, that local blood was likely Welsh or English, since most historians believe he was born in the Somerset area in what the Romans called Bannavem Taberniae which has been taken to mean Bannaventa Berniae in Celtic, and it is assumed that is modern day Banwell.  Lots of archaeological work in the area have revealed Roman artifacts - pottery, coins, burial sites, ancient roadworks.

This is all extrapolated from his own words in his Confessio: "I had as my father the deacon Calpornius, son of the late Potitus, a priest, who belonged to the small town of Bannavem Taberniae; he had a small estate nearby, and it was there I was taken captive."  So that is about as close as we can get for his origin point.

What is not in dispute is he was captured by Irish raiders and taken to Ireland as a slave.  He returned home and once upon his religious mission returned to Ireland voluntarily, but that is only because those heathen needed some church'n up!

 ;)

I really like Weaselzippers "Friday" thread...I might have to rethink not joining Disqus.

A couple that really made me chuckle -

2)

TO: The Taxpayer
DATE: March 01, 2016

FROM: Internal Revenue Service

SUBJECT: Notice of Increase Taxes

The only thing the IRS has not yet taxed is your pecker. This is due to the fact that 40% of the time it is hanging around unemployed, 30% of the time it is pissed off, 20% of the time it is hard up and 10% the time it is to be found in the hole. On top of this, it has 2 dependents and they are both nuts.

Beginning June 01, 2016 your pecker will be taxed according to its size. Using the Pecker Checker Scale listed below will determine your category and tax surcharge.

10 to 12 inches --------Luxury Tax $500

8 to 10 inches----------Pole Tax $250

6 to 8 inches------------Priviledge Tax $100

4 to 6 inches------------Nuisance Tax   $ 10

NOTES:   Males exceeding 12 inches must file under capital gains.

Anyone under 4 inches is eligible for a refund.

Please do not request and extension.

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist but I do accept the "Hubble is Chelsea's daddy" thing. Or at least the viability of the rumor.

The fig image is funny - even though we know that the technique of morphing one face (any face) into another is an automatic deal - it's just that in this case it blends so seamlessly.

But I pondered it from a different angle.

How would you like to be in Chelsea's shoes? For all of her adult life she's had the stink of that innuendo wafting all around her. If you did wouldn't you want to do something to clear the air? Wouldn't you demand your right to be clear of the slander?

We know why her parents haven't addressed it but why do you suppose she's been silent?

I mean, assuming that the rumor is false....right?

She's a Clinton. She knows we little people can't handle the truth.

It's not even a conspiracy theory.  Bill Clinton told his rape victim he was sterile. He's never bothered denying that.

Point of Order?

Can I get an official ruling on the true nature of Cthulhu?

Looks a lot like a vampire-squid to me, do we know of any Wall St/Goldman/33LibertySt connections?

Thanks.
