I'm more fearful of the EOs that will come flying out of that office, and the czar/agency decrees, and of the Republicans in office shuffling around with their thumbs up their butts, afraid to do anything.
We haven't even begun to see the lawlessness they will unleash as they leave power (provided they will even do so) , and each will be designed to create as much mayhem as possible. An EO to halt all drilling/energy creation. An EO to stop payment of all entitlements (he already threatened this once and "Tax-a-geddon" will give him a chance to try it. An EO to prevent prosecution of crimes against white conservatives, including poll intimidation. A blanket pardon of all immigrants and other criminals. He may very well empty the prisons, and if they get thier wish and the collapse occurs just after the election , he will declare a disaster and start seizing property (for the common good of course) from those nasty "hoarders" who will of course respond in kind. He will create chaos, and I would not put it past him to call for "help" from the UN - and we will have Russian and Chinese troops in the cities to "keep order" - I think the leftists have bet a all or nothing on Obama and this presidency - I do not think they will go lightly, and won't be surprised if they don't.
Such actions will of course result in the patriots rallying to America's defense, but keeping it to small fires may be difficult if not impossible - especially in urban areas as Obama cuts of the EBTs and promises to only activate them for those willing to "sacrifice" - in other words form his goon squads. Those in charge will not have to be brave when they have hungry, scared and desperate people to carry out their orders, not to mention those who just crave the opportunity for power and importance to justify their failed little lives. This can go very badly very quickly, and the Patriot victory is NOT assured. I think a number on this forum recognize the danger open violence and civil war represents to the republic (or the formation of a new one) however inevitable and necessary it will become. Our Founders pulled off something new in history-a miracle, something that I fear cannot be duplicated, but with the grace of God, and I fear he may be through with us. I am not overly religious, nor would I even claim to be Christian, but Ann Bernhardt's theory that demons are risen among us can't be discounted. The American revolution was an outlier, made possible by the new frontier and people like us self selecting to remove ourselves from the un-evolved portion of men. I keep coming back to this:
"Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." - Heinlein
That is a true view of history. The odds are against us. They will give me liberty or give me death, but in the end, it may very well be death or me and my family, and they will not shed a liberal tear. They are the worst part of humanity. The part that wants to see others fail. The part that wants to kill Ivan's goat instead of obtaining a goat of their own. They have no shame, nor pity, nor remorse. They are the beasts of the wild, and they hunt and eat, and care not who get hurt. We will not survive them unless we become like them, and, in so doing, loose a great part of what we have achieved. The American experiment was, in part, an effort to see if this portion of Human nature could be contained. It obviously can't, at least not with the methods yet tried.
As always, I could be completely wrong. I hope I am. But the fact that my last 4 fortune cookies didn't have a fortune in them isn't giving me a whole lot of encouragement at this point.
