How Many Checkpoints in One Morning?! Welcome to the Police State!

"No, thank you; I'd like to freely go on my way".  Gotta remember that.

Yeah, but what if he had asked that in Spanish?

Or Pashto?

That would have made a cool video.
In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

They won't do this at the f***ing border, but they'll do it inside the United States. They won't stop obvious offenders at the point of the crime, but they'll wait until after the crime has been committed, and then use a dragnet to harass everyone.

Dammit. Things are so on the wrong trajectory, it seems nothing less than Superman spinning the world in reverse will fix it.

...and the dude in the car looks and sounds like Matthew Fox (Jack) from "Lost".
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Swiped from Havoc; not sure how/where he got it.

God Bless that man!   ::thumbsup::   ::beertoast::   ::newyear::   ::USA::   ::whoohoo::   ::danceban::   ::clapping::   ::bustamove::

It still stuns me that so many LEO's are conditioned to go along with setting up these stops and so conditioned to expecting people (many who do) submit to this BS!

This guy is lucky he came across LEO's not looking to demonstrate how they can exceed their authority and not exercise common sense and reason to identify who is and who is not behaving like a fugitive or an illegal person!
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.

All I gotta say is that is one ballsy move. . .

When I happen upon a checkpoint here locally in North Carolina, I have a different approach. I say to the officers "Buenos Dios, Senors!" in my best high school Spanish, while showing them my state issued drivers license and registration card. We all have a nice laugh, I drive off, and they say "what a smartass!"
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living
are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.
