A T-Shirt Idea ...
« on: July 13, 2012, 06:22:19 PM »
... With many thanks to Rigpa.

I think it would sell, but that's just me (who was the brainchild of this thing).

The other wording I thought would be appropriate was:

OUR FOREFATHERS
    WOULD BE
         SHOOTING BY NOW

I think either works in getting a certain message across.

I like the second better myself.

I guess you're tired of target practice, huh?

I like that wording, too, but Rigpa felt it was already done (but can it be overdone?).  I'm going to ask him to throw those words on another image and save both.  Because, like you, I really do believe in the second wording -- a whole lot.

Because it's true, because they did, and over a lot less than has been inflicted on us.

I like both, because I like truth.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Agreed, find a way to have both incorporated, I'd buy a couple dozen and give many away.

I'd like one that says something like

Tar. Feathers. Bureaucrats.

Some Assembly Required.
