About five hours to go until the noon deadline set for the supposed million asshole demonstration.

So, I'm watching the "protest" live on the Reuters stream. It's a bit more interesting than watching grass grow. The crowd of unemployed troublemakers will slowly gather, a few near the front will throw some rocks or something...the police charge at them, the crowd withdraws, the police withdraw...cycle repeats.
The "protesters" need more people. There's still over four hours to go until noon but I thought that they would have more goons by now. You do see the serious ones with their faces masked. Some carry sticks. Someone must be bringing bags of rocks. This isn't Beirut, after all...there aren't rocks just lying around downtown Cairo.
I wonder when the next stupid prayer is? Will more show up after that?
No females present. None that don't want to be gang raped for allah, anyway. Several guys with dresses. Or robes, as they probably call them. The dominant fashion statement is a dirty tee shirt with some kind of filthy pants. That mohammed guy sure does inspire the well dressed.
Crowd is getting somewhat bigger but they will need thousands to rush the police.

Yeah, this is like watching the waves go in and out at the beach. The "rioters" form up, the police drive them back and then retreat...the "rioters" form up again...cycle repeats. Bring on the rubber bullets and water cannons.
Definitely an absence of free enterprise and capitalism...no one selling mohammed burgers or allah falafels or anything.

There appears to be a medium sized group of Hitler youth organizing or something at the rear of the crowd...almost right in front of the camera truck.
There is some crazy woman there. Has to be media. She's wearing a bright red scarf (I assume that's to try and keep track of her in the crowd) and carrying a big white purse. She goes up to the rear of the crowd and tries to talk to some of the ones on motorcycles. She wanders around a lot. The police just shot off a single tear gas canister and she took off running back toward the camera truck. The rest of the crowd stayed put. She better get out before she gets raped.
You know...if I was inclined to riot and really wanted to cause some harm to the police I would bring more than ordinary rocks. I would have made up some rocks with roofing nails epoxied to them. But that's me.
Some idiot on a vespa shows up with his two kids. One of them appears to be like two years old.
