The Susan Rice Dust Up
« on: November 21, 2012, 04:51:12 PM »
I see no posts regarding Susan Rice being a possible Secretary of State.  I throw this item I ran across into the discussion:

A CNN article published in 2008.

President-Elect Barack Obama has picked Dr. Susan Rice to be the new United Nations Ambassador.
Rice served as Bill Clinton’s Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs and later worked as foreign policy advisor to John Kerry and John Edwards during their 2004 presidential campaign. Terrorism experts blame Rice for having played a key role in blocking efforts to neutralize Osama bin Laden in the 1990s.

According to Mansoor Ijaz, a former trouble shooter for Clinton, the FBI had their efforts to capture bin Laden “overruled every single time by the State Department, by Susan Rice and her cronies, who were hell-bent on destroying the Sudan.” In a Washington Post Op-Ed published in 2002, Mansoor Ijaz and Tim Carney, U.S. Ambassador to Sudan blamed Susan Rice for being a major obstacle to accepting offers of help from Sudan and to share their intelligence on bin Laden’s terror network.

Rice was also influential in the Clinton Administration’s remaining uninvolved in the Rwandan genocide that took place in that nation in 1994. The Atlantic (September 2001) published an article by Samantha Power titled: “Bystanders to Genocide,” and outlined Rice’s role in the do-nothing policy of the Clinton administration.
>>>>>>>>>>
THIS IS THE REASON RICE IS TOTALLY UNWORTHY OF BEING SECRETARY OF STATE. THE FACT THAT SHE IS A BLACK WOMAN SHOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. IT IS A BUNCH OF BULL MANURE TRUMPED UP BY SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS.

Credibility is a necessity for a Secretary of State. She has none. Therefore she is unqualified.

A trouble shooter? They make it sound like a friggin' mechanic. Call it what it is. A smear campaign advisor.

The best thing one can say in Susan Rice's defense is , after Benghazi , why would we want an un-witting stooge running the State Department ?

Because it merely replaces the stooge already there!

Au contraire, she is perfectly qualified to go to places like Egypt and give it's leaders the credibility needed so as they can then consolidate dictatorial power.  In fact, I can't think of anyone better qualified to carry out the vision of Obama's New America.

Ya know, there's enough of this to make ya lose yer mind, I swear.

And slightly off-topic, something about this photo always bothered me ...

I was thinking the exact same thing. When the pubbies unite in their acceptance of John Kerry, and laud his "long service" and "unquestionable qualification", we're supposed to just stand slackjawed and drooling, as the man who threw his unearned medals over the White House fence and called his fellow servicemen murderers akin to "Jenjiss" Khan walks into the State department unchallenged.

Who will be John Kerry's champion on the Right? John McCain, that's who.

F*ck them all.

ETA: yes, I'm agitated today. Forgive my foul mouth. Perhaps I'll put it in check tomorrow.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."
