Some graphical depictions of Japan's earthquakes

We are so far past and beyond the “long train of abuses and usurpations” that the Colonists and Founders experienced and which necessitated the Revolutionary War that they aren’t even visible in the rear-view mirror.

All I have heard in the media is when the hit a 6 or higher, sometimes they mention "several" but provide nothing more.  There are so many near that one spot where the plates meet...a lot of stress being released...who knows where or how strong the next big release will happen, but the "ring of fire" sure has been active the past couple of years.
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.
