We got walloped!
Luckily, got out of town Thursday night to go snowboarding in NH. Not the only ones...it took 2 hrs to get through Boston!
Woke up Fri to 4 inches and more coming at about 1" per hr. kids and Mother went boarding, I went eating. Had to search for a TX themed eatery for biscuits and gravy, but was not disappointed.
Conditions were great for the kids, they tolerated the cold, had to get a few balaclavas and new socks but they loved it.
Returned home Sunday to 2.5 ft piled up and trees down everywhere. Wife called a neighbor an,d had her guy plow our driveway....so many reasons why I love her!
House was colder inside than outside bit no pipes froze. Dug out some walks and garage doors, Got a fire going, fired up the generator and all was well. Power came back yesterday early afternoon and now it's tome to put the house back together.
Living off the grid like that really makes ya' appreciate first world living!
