The Real life Ragnar Danneskjöld

Only he goes by the name Dread Pirate Roberts, and commands a virtual pirating vehicle

Or maybe not.. the TOR browser he uses was developed by the US Navy. But I guess the Gun Running, drug dealing US government wanted an online way to get drugs to its customers without using the Street pushing middle man.

Yeah I got this article earlier...I guess I was somewhat leery of the claims flying about both sides of this...my trust level being what it is...

Silk Road is at an end

Either the Feds st it up in the first place, and/or   cracked the encryption and misdirection  a long time ago, or simply found another way into the network to get the guy physically. In any case, no more drug buying on the internet. How do you seize bitcoin? I thought the whole point of the thing was that your super secret account number and balance was replicated all over the place?

I smell NSA and CIA black op...they may have legitimate crime fighting motives, but the motives of people in positions of authority being what it is now under the Obama Regime sets my radar off...there is no way they could pull this off without turning someone inside or hacking their way through with brute force...of the two the former seems much more plausible than the latter.

turns out the Feds can't seem to confiscate the Bitcoins

Hmm. That makes it safer than any bank huh?

Yeah, that's a dman shame.

And yeah, do not instinctively link "bank" and "safe" anymore...
