Makes sense to me, they should be looking to protect themselves from idiots...since there are so many going along with this insanity.
We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.

Although there have been lawsuits against wedding industry businesses that refuse to serve gay couples, attorneys promoting the bylaw changes say they don't know of any lawsuits against churches.

I see why they're doing it, but I also think they should take the position that the Bible is their bylaws and thus it is not necessary to further clarify what is already quite clear.

Re; businesses getting sued... I would think they'd learn from the first few, and adjust. I think they could accomplish their objective in most cases by doing something like this:

"Sure, we'll take your money for snapping some photos of your homo "marriage", and we do excellent work. Of course, while I'm a live and let live kind of person, personally the two of you disgust me, and I'm 110% against ungodly perversions. In fact, I feel a litle nauseous right now... (making retching noises)... Ooh, jeepers, forgive me... I just threw up a little in my mouth. Now where were we? Oh yes.... I'll require 50% up front... what date were you thinking?"
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

They've forced the Catholic Church to provide things they don't believe in, it's only a matter of time before someone's crystal cathedral or Little Brown Church will be sued go a gay couple can have the perfect backdrop for their wedding.

Which makes me glad my Iowa church is in a strip mall and my Twin Cities church is in a 1930's era school building.  Worship without the excess bling.  ::thumbsup::

I agree with Glock. The churches need to better understand the Bible and start standing up for what is right as God has laid down for us and quit being afraid of the lefties. God's law is above all.
