Sounds extremely tense. There will be repercussions.  Apologies may be demanded from you; after all, "they're only kids", seeing as how no other father had the balls to dush any kid in the back of head.

Good for you for standing your ground; the kids AND THEIR PARENTS need to get their heads straight on the crucial difference between kids and adults, and the expected decorum from each.

There won't be any apologies coming form me, I can promise you that. I'm deciding now whether I want to demand that the team be sanctioned for their behavior and the kid punished for threatening violence. They've got no business playing a school sport with an attitude like they demonstrated, and this kid was obviously unhinged. I'm not big on demanding apologies, but I want those kids to pay.

I bet those kids never heard that kind of reprimand from any adult, including their parents.  Probably being raised by a single push-over mom.  Wow.  I'm glad you stood your ground.  There are times when community members need to step in and do what's right.

Weisshaupt and I were once on a walk (before we had kids of our own) on a path near our house.  There was other building construction going on in the neighborhood.  A couple of 10 year olds were up on a large pile of dirt and proceeded to throw rocks at us.  The first landed a few yards off from us.  The second a few feet.  The third nearly hit me.  We heard the kids laughing.  One of the kids was winding up to throw the next rock when Weisshaupt started tearing after the kids cursing and hollering up a storm.  They were so scared one ran away and one froze.  After quite a vicious talking to we proceeded to walk the remaining kid home and tell his parents precisely what their kid did.  I'm guessing he got more of a lesson from Weisshaupt than from their own parents.

I wouldn't doubt it a bit. I left off the epilogue for the sake of concise storytelling. You'll remember I mentioned the kid was Black, and that we stood our ground, refusing to be the ones to relocate to diffuse the situation.

Well, a bit later on, the little punks' team was back on the field (after my son's younger age bracket finished their game). The kid who had a mind to confront me is a good athlete in spite of his attitude problem. I noticed once when he did something noteworthy on the field, his mother (a very liberal-looking White woman) who was standing behind me off to the right said to another woman, "That's my son, the a-hole". I said in front of the other parents from her son's team, "I can see where your boy gets his sh*tty attitude." The boy's father quite obviously was not in attendance. Whether he's present in his life is another question. But it was obvious from this short interaction that the Black prince has the ego-driven attitude we often see in Black athletes, and had never been exposed to discipline.

It was just an all-around negative situation.

Oh for God's Sake!  No wonder the kid's an a-hole, he's got his mother out telling everybody he is one.  Probably tells him, too, on a regular basis.  And where's Dad?  Or is all he's got is baby-mama?  Yah, you'll be seeing her on the "news" one day, whining, "Not my son, he din't do it; he's a gooood boy!".

Sickening.  Disgusting.

I feel sorry for the kid in all this. Because in the end he loses.Yes he behaved like an idiot and yes I would have smacked him in the head for being an idiot. But in the end he's going to be another waste of a life. Lord know we have a shortage of self centered bung holes. How many have ended up broke alone and or both and in jail.

You handled it well, IDP! It sounds like the group of kids had so little upstairs they don't even realize how pathetic they sound. Lack of compassion is a sign of a lack of human decency.

Last  movie I saw was '300'. The movie before that...I honestly can't remember it's been so long.
I had no interest in seeing 'LA', but may very well change my tune knowing who's behind it.
"Atlas" is now in our list, if we can find a theater in this sh*tty state that will run it.

In the following 1980's video one can plainly see the desperation and oppression of Zimbabwe's black population before  Robert Mugabe  saved them from the white devils.

Hey IDP, these folks weren't from Andover were they?

I got in a confrontation with a bunch of idiots from there a couple years ago at my nephews hockey game.  He played on a Blaine team that was matched up against an Andover team that was a class higher.  I don't know why they allow that, but anyway my nephews team is battling away, and the trashy parents were boorish as hell.  I literally felt something snap in my head like I haven't felt in years when after my nephew went down fighting for the puck, another Andover kid just blind-sided one of our kids and sent him sprawling to the ice.  This trash started cheering the intentional violence of a kid!

I snapped, stood up and got in the face of the fat bastard who shouted "that's what you get!" and asked him "Wtf his problem was, telling him you don't root to have kids hurt, what kind of sick effer are you?!"  This fat bastard can only say "Shut up" and I just kept standing in front of him.  Taunting him, thumping him on his chest...this fat bully bastard was a pussy who liked cheering violence but had no ability to back up the crap coming out of his mouth.

This continued until the game was over, then mingling in the vestibule I saw 4 other parents for my nephew's team, and it was the mother's  ;D, getting in the face of the other team's mothers they heard say stupid sh*t reading them the riot act just like I was!

Something dangerously wrong in parts of that community and I think all the a-holes wound up in one bunch!

Some people!

It happens everywhere.

Years ago at my sons high school soccer match, we are playing in an affluent area of Nashville, a private school. Now, our team wasn't particully talented at soccer...we were a bunch of football players "intructed" by coaches that we would play soccer...LOL.

I think we lost 3-1, but the score really didn't matter. The game was rough. Lots of fouls. After the game, there is only a large parking area and after a brief team meeting, we were leaving. Some of thier players took it upon themselves to taunt our guys as we left....With several of thier parents within earshot.. It was bad, with foul language the standard. Frankly, it was sad. A few of our parents instructed our kids to let it go, lets just leave.....Until one felt the need to hurl a water bottle and it hit my car. We didn't use a team bus, the parents provided transportation. Now I'm mad....And my son has to be restrained.

I approached a few of thier parents to see if they witnessed my car hit. I know they did, but I was giving them an opportunity to defuse this. Now, the kid who threw it was ramping up the verbage as I was speaking to, it turned out to be, his parents....and it is now directed at me.

His parents had the gall to state they were just being kids, as he is cussing me literally 10 yards away. I requested them to have him stop. He is laughin and taunting me and the parents did nothing....It was really unbelievable. SO..... I walked over to the kid and told him.....See the kid over there itching to get here? If you don't stop now, I'm allowing him to come over....

Well, the kid didn't stop. His parents started over but it was too late...My son made his presence known, got in the kids face and said something like "now say one more thing." He did, my son body slammed him and before he could be pulled off, lets say the kid was real quiet afterwards....

Honestly, I did not like the violence. You had to be there to hear the stuff thier team was yelling and the ends we went to just leave.

But you know, sometimes there is no other option. His parents turned out to be pussies. We actually played them at our place later that year...LOL......We won that match as their kids were petrified....LOLOLOL

I'll tell you the truth I never really wanted to go my kids soccer matches because I get very excited and pace for the whole game like a caged cat. But I did go here and there and at one match one of the kids was a little dick that hat a talent for hitting the opposing players in the face with the ball. It was amazing he would just square off and wham right in the puss. Then he hit my kid in the second half and he went down so the coach pulled him out to get the stars out of his eyes and I was there asking if he was OK. He was spitting mad at how dirty this guy played and that he gets away with it(not to mention his parents go the biggest laugh out of it)

I asked if he wanted to go back in and get himself thrown out of the game He got the biggest smile and begged to get back in so I talked to thew coach that was not happy about it but he had 4 players with swelled up faces in one game and he agreed to let him in and do his thing.

I played a little as a young man and the deal is simple when you want to get even and the opposing player is up close you go to kick the ball away but you graze the unprotected part of the leg usually behind the shin or if the player is down you simply step on whatever part you can see and grind you spikes into him.

That always cools their heels and the parents are no longer laughing it up.It's just a little intimidation nothing more.
