Realistically colorized historical photos

I've seen this kind of colorization work before, but never these specific photos, and never quite this well done.

While it was a great job, I feel it detracts from the originals too much. I guess I'm just an old fogie.

Darwin still looks like Ebeneezer Scrooge color or not.

I like the 40's...I like the clothes...the attitude...
