I wonder how much all those retired  farriers will lose, as they apparently still have a couple working for the water department (Union contracted positions)  this in spite of the fact, that the city hasn't owned a horse in 50 + years.. ::snoshovel::

Hmmm, I was going to suggest they would care for Chicago PD's horses but the more I think about it ...  ::thinking::

Two different city departments, ain't no way the union will allow water department employees to work on police department horses.
