Okay, every once in a while I make the foray into tinfoil hat land and see what the loonies are saying. I usually ignore their interpretation of the facts, but sometimes the facts they do find are very interesting, and verifiable from "Mainstream" sources . Case in point:
"Not every person who develops the disease will develop clear symptoms that are recognised as Ebola. For the moment it seems that there are not that many cases but the exact number of cases is unknown." (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-19306437)
Not having the Ebola symptoms will allow this to spread further and faster. Meanwhile the Uganda Outbreak is declared over (http://www.newvision.co.ug/news/634874-Ebola-threat-recedes-in-Uganda.html) or is it? (http://www.monitor.co.ug/News/National/Two+new+suspected+Ebola+cases+reported+in+Kibaale/-/688334/1496028/-/11xejfc/-/index.html)
The rumor mill is also churning regarding Obama giving Israel Bombs in return for delaying an attack on Iran till after the elction (http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/159610#.UEokU41lT_7)
DHS is testing biological sensors in the Boston subway - using a dead bacteria. (http://boston.cbslocal.com/2012/04/30/homeland-security-to-test-biological-sensors-in-mbta-tunnels/) Huh? How does that help?
This common, food-grade bacterium is found everywhere in soil, water, air, and decomposing plant matter. They will use the dead bacteria in a simulated biological weapon attack at several stations to test a new set of bioterror sensors. They will use the sensors to monitor the spread of the bacteria through the air in the subway tunnels over the next six months to see if these contractor-created technologies are up to snuff. (http://www.businessinsider.com/homeland-security-is-planning-to-release-bacteria-into-bostons-subway-system-2012-8)
This common harmless bacteria is found everywhere, so we are going to use it to track its spread in the air in subway tunnels? And you can tell it from the naturally occuring stuff how? Not impossible, but fishy.
The MSM is all in on painting soldiers as racist extremists (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/48737669/ns/world_news-south_and_central_asia/t/us-army-fights-racists-within-its-own-ranks/#.UEotnI1lT_4)
And in the completely unverified and unverifiable category
A Long time Alex Jones informant claims a false flag is imminent (http://theintelhub.com/2012/08/29/dhs-inside-source-claims-obama-white-house-set-to-stage-major-false-flag-its-going-hot/)
Tin Foil Hats filter for a specific kind of news- and then aid their own interpretation to the pattern they are looking for - but its a different set of articles than you are going to find on Drudge etc.

"The MSM is all in on painting soldiers as racist extremists"
::saywhat::
They're wee-weeing over "racist" WHITE "supremacists"; nothing about Black Panther "racist" supremacists or the LaRaza types OR haji jihadists infiltrators. It's always those damn WHITE racists that require their attention.
-
What's sad, under this administration, I don't doubt any of this impossible.

To hell with the MFM, if the Regime does in fact trigger a false flag event, they'll be no discerning between combatants and run of the mill enemies...

Only white people can be racist doncha know. Fortunately that means that if you are dark complected you are less racist. If you're Scot-Irish like me you're doomed.

Yeah, you're just a doomed racist.

My pale German butt forces me into the same category. I think I'm in good company. ::cool::

Yeah like most descendents of the settlers to the Carolina back country, the bulk of my heritage is also Scots-Irish. I've acquired a semi-permanent farmer's tan, but if I take my shirt off at the beach it's like aluminum foil in the microwave.

Via Infowars. Hence the Tin Foil Hat category. Anyone notice the people going on Alex Jones are getting bigger and better?
Well worth your time. Really.
Summary: WWIII and World Geo-politics will be the main conversation on Election Day, They will hold the economy together till after the election and transfer of power - Collapse in March/April 2013 ( so says Celente)

Ahh yes, nice to see all the Jew-hating PaulBots migrating in to comment on this...that really dings the ol' credibility meter for AJ's site, eh?

::)
Maybe I am loosing it, but AJ talks less about his conspiracy theories and more about what is actually happening than he used to. Celente is a bit of a Paul-bot himself, but he isn't stupid. I still think they have the causation wrong- the corporations are not controlling the politicians - because has Celente himself admitted, the pols are psychotic, narcissistic, anti-human nutcases. Douglas Adams had it right : No one who wants power should under any circumstances be allowed to have it. You have to be nuts in the first place to want it.
The corporations get into bed with these assholes because they have to just to continue doing business, and like any abused spouse, they find ways of coping - buying protection, etc, up to and including hitting back and becoming the same as the abuser. However, the money always flows to the politician. Its is the pol hat is in charge, and the one that granst any favors that the Corporations ask for. You can't buy a pol, but they can be rented. Fundamentally the anti-corporation types just don't get that its the govt that creates, enables and perpetuates this situation and the cause of fascism, not the other way around. The corporations are allowed to rape and steal only so long as they support the goals of the politicians. If Corzine didn't support those goals you can bet the Pols would have used him as an "example" - a case they could point to of them sticking it to those fat cats as good theater for the mass of sheep. Hence, it is the pols forcing the corporations into bed, not the other way around, and the pol setting the agenda. That some people get rich is hardly the goal or even of any importance to the pols, whose quest is for power. The wealthy they generate are under their control- the economic power of a corporation is at their beck and call, and if it isn't, the CEO is taken out and a new one put in.
As far as Jew Hating, its because a lot of these people ARE Jews- and, as a group, they are taught disdain for anyone who isn't Jew from birth. Sorry, I went to School in New York, dated a (very evil) Jewish girl, and got to know exactly how most (liberal) East Coast Jews felt about and related to gentiles. Its more of an East Coast phenomenon, just as the stereotype associated with the word "Nigger" is much more a Southern phenomenon - when you start out with the belief you are God's Chosen and superior, and are ready to make that belief known to others in a hundred different ways, you are already halfway down the road. If you wonder how Jews bring themselves to vote for Dems - that is exactly how. Stereotypes are generalizations, and I trust that most of us here understand that I am not making the leap to all jews or all blacks - merely talking about a statistical truth -nor does that truth even imply a majority - a small number of bad apples, can give a bad name to the whole barrel. And those apples left to rot, will begin to rot the ones next to them. And folks, in New York at least, a lot of the Jews I met were jerks. They made it always clear that you were not one of them. I can't say their behavior was because they were Jewish, but I can't deny there was a correlation.
So while I don't personally equate Jew with Banker or Pol or evil, I do understand why someone else might be tempted to. Hitler of course used that for his own purposes, but he wouldn't have been able to, if there wasn't an underlying dislike that surpassed simple greed and envy (though those were also components) . When you see the Jew loan out to another Jew at 3% and he charges you 10% because you are a gentile ( there is an unspoken trust between Jews and other Jews that causes this...) you might take it as an insult. Its an easy target- an easy way to identify "the other" - a way that the Jews are already employing amoungst themselves, often as a form of shunning, and its all so easy to get others to respond in kind.
-
I think the battered spouse analogy is an accurate description of the behavior of too many corporations. It's the same principle at work in settling lawsuits, it is just less costly in the end to give up than to fight, but by always giving up the price tag on settling increases, and it is no surprise that crony capitalism and the trading of influence for donations has reared its ugly head. If they keep this up they'll be national socialists in no time and drag the country down that dead end with them.
You are probably right about the steotypes of Jews (specifically liberal Jews), I just recoil at the generalization that most PaulBots glom onto that all Jews are dirty and that since many have always been involved in financial enterprises that therefore all Jews are to blame for the corruption in the world and the group-think that dominates current financial circles and Neo-Keynesian thinking that allows PaulBots to spew their conspiracy theories and blame all the ills of the world on the dirty Jews. To me that reaction is intellectually lazy and represents the worst of aspects of Nazism. Stereotypes may have a basis but to condemn an entire race is ignorant. And when one tries to apply this same logic to PaulBots and characterize their entire movement as nothing betther than a pack of hate-filled people eager to start stuffing people in ovens they deny such characterizations. But to me the steotype of PaulBots seems arguably more on the mark than the demonizations they make on others. But there is no arguing with them, no hope of changing their minds and so the polarization is set.
Maybe I am the naive one, I always ascribe character to the person, not the race or group. Bad apples can mischaracterize the whole, and everyone has been guilty of that at one time or another. If there is a group that is guilty by association it is those persons who are complicit in promoting the policies in government, business and private organizations that subvert our political and private institutions, family values, Judeo-Christian heritage, individualism and national heritage.
-
Or, just because they have the personality of an asshole does
not mean they are thieves or are in any way corrupt.

Yeah, I get that, I can be a dink at times, and even if I am right I may not always verbalize it with tact.

So what's the deal with this sink hole they keep referring to? I had to actually search to even find news about a sink hole in Louisiana. What's this crap about it exploding with the force of 100 Hiroshimas?

The sinkhole is near a huge butane well and butane storage facility (http://www.examiner.com/article/louisiana-sinkhole-butane-well-company-s-worst-case-scenario-required)
Of course if you have a tin foil hat on, this is underground illuminati city building activity..
-
The sinkhole is a big little deal down here. It's very rural, so the vast majority are just worried about fishing holes and deer leases. A few are worried it'll expand to grab a few homes, too.
Sinkhole in the local news (http://www.katc.com/news/sinkhole-expands-swallows-trees-and-roadways/)
NAPOLEONVILLE, La. (AP) - Officials say the sinkhole in Assumption Parish has swallowed up more trees and part of a road built to expedite cleanup activities as it continues to expand.
Officials at the Assumption Parish Police Jury said Wednesday there was a 30 foot-by-50 foot slough into the southeast side of the hole overnight. The bog had never sloughed in that area before, officials say.
Experts say the sloughing in is expected. Last month, the sinkhole grew by 50 feet when the surrounding environment fell in, taking a boat with it. Two cleanup workers almost fell in and cleanup activities were suspended.
A failed underground brine cavern encased within a mountain of salt is believed to have caused the sinkhole, which appeared Aug. 3.

Makes me wonder why the host is so interested in our DNS.

Amber Lyons on Alex Jones (http://www.zerohedge.com/contributed/2012-09-30/3-time-emmy-award-winning-cnn-journalist-mainstream-media-takes-money-foreign)
She claims CNN taking money from multiple regimes to create propaganda, and left CNN over their lack of Journalistic Standards. And where are we seeing this? Fox News? No its Alex Jones.

Fox News has made a pronounced shift to the left over the past few years. I now consider it to be no better than any other MFM outlet.
-

Really? I don't see it that way at all. I see their hard news coverage as more or less striving to live out the "Fair & Balanced" mission - the only exception that comes to mind being Shep Smith - and I see their editorial programming as skewing completely to the Right, with O'Reilly claiming (unconvincingly) to play it down the middle.
Now, that says nothing of their editorial choices re; hard news. What they choose to sink their teeth into and choose not to go after is more or less following the MSM model. But I think that of those things they do pursue, they lean Right.
And look at the WH press corps. Ed Henry and Jake Tapper are the ONLY two who pose any difficult questions at all. Fox sets itself apart in that regard as well, with their selection of Henry.
-
Leaning right doesn't do it for me, but if fair & balanced was applied in the takkiya sense I might like it more...
We gain NOTHING by playing nice with evil IMO.

I want the truth in news, nothing more or less. Ideally, the electorate can only make accurate decisions if we know the truth. So I don't want my news to be so skewed to the Right that I can't glean the truth. Having a "counter" to the Leftist behemoth news media is all well and good, but if it strays too far, it gives us no better ability to glean the truth and make decisions. I don't want - nor would I watch - a conservative version of MSNBC.
Look at Wallace, Baier, Garrett, Henry, Cameron, et al. All of them, to one degree or another, live up to the classic mission of what a "journalist" is supposed to be. They hammer and dig and pick at whatever and whomever they need to in order to uncover what the public wants to know. The same cannot be said for reporters or anchors anywhere else.

Let me clarify, I don't see the truth being a casualty, rather I want to see Leftists made casualties...I am not opposed to ambushing that trash with the truth or hitting them right between the eyes on follow up questions. I just don't care what the other side's opinion is because it is all lies, deception and bullsh*t...I would like to see our enemies slaughtered by relentless truth. But I don't have to worry myself into any false hope, it will not happen...certainly not in my lifetime. This fair & balanced crap is, sadly, the best our bed-wetting side has on the air...

A large, joint task force, FEMA, Military and DHS training mission (http://thegovernmentrag.wordpress.com/tag/military-movement/) has been going on - apparently its an exercise is responding to a domestic disaster
http://www.campatterbury.in.ng.mil/VibrantResponse/tabid/1286/Default.aspx (http://www.campatterbury.in.ng.mil/VibrantResponse/tabid/1286/Default.aspx)
some are asserting thiswas (http://www.ldsfreedomforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&p=307387)
The 19-day major incident response exercise brings together local, state and federal agencies, including Department of Defense resources; it is conducted by U.S. Northern Command and led by U.S. Army North. The exercise lasts from July 26 through August 13.
The scenario itself is a daunting one – a (simulated) 10-kiloton nuclear detonation in a major Midwestern city – and is pivotal in its scope. It provides leaders the ability to confirm the training and readiness of the nation’s new Defense Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Response Enterprise. The exercise required a unique collection of specialized military units, under the command and control of Joint Task Force – Civil Support, based out of Fort Eustis, Va., and under the guidance and operational control of U.S. Army North.
“Because of the level of complexity, we have had to build this [exercise] in order to confirm the capabilities of our response forces,” said Col. Dick Francey, U.S. Army North’s chief of staff, who served as the commander of the operations group for the exercise. “It has made it possible and beneficial for other federal, state and local agencies to participate. This involvement goes to further the realism of the exercise.”
Perhaps one of the most important aspects of the exercise is the opportunity to directly interface with non-Department of Defense members, who provide valued insights on issues that might arise during an actual disaster.
“The exercise features a simulated death count of over 300,000 [victims],” said Justo Hernandez, a team leader with FEMA. “We don’t even have that many body bags, much less a plan to notify that many families. But, we need to discuss a plan for that with all of those who are, or would be, involved in a catastrophe of this magnitude.”
SO that could explain some of the troop movement reports. I still don't like this close co-operations between Military and Domestic Depts in a scenario that depicts massive death from Nuke strike.
-
Well heck, who would want to nuke us? After all we have a left-wing psycho destroying the country from within so effectively, why waste the missile? So gosh, I wonder what the real purpose of these exercises are?

Why?
It's not an "outbreak", or an epidemic, in the true sense of the word because this form of meningitis is not contagious.

Maybe, but I don't see why they would. What we're talking about here is injections of steroids for back pain. Although it's voluntary, it's limited in terms of population. I'd figure they'd have better "results" if they used flu shots instead.
-
It's a mild outbreak of "Big Pharma" they're massaging 0
the story in order to discover how to be most affective.
-
I never get a flu shot and I am not getting sick more (actually less) than those who do. I always wonder if getting it is preparing people for something else, then next thing you know a mutation hits the vaccine and its zombieland. Or maybe they get innoculated?

I never get a flu shot and I don't get sick any more often than anybody else, and I know people who've gotten a flu shot who get the flu anyway.
I figure why bother.

I figure why bother.
It's said *ahem* that for those who got the shot and got the flu anyway that the severity and duration was reduced.
I've gotten one injection, some several years ago. Now that I'm immune-compromised, never again.
-
The high school near me is having a day where you can get a flu shot for free! Free! I mean they're practically giving them away now anyway--Walgreens, CVS, etc -- is there really anyone who wants one who can't get one?
My dh went to his followup with his doc after his stroke. He got a flu shot. Why?? He's not "at risk". I said you know how I feel about that! He said I know but I was there and doc said I should so I did. Lame. I said next year when you go to your checkup he'll tell you to get it again. It used to be for infants and old folks and at risk people. Now it's everyone!
When I brought home my preemie baby I was told the entire family needed to get a flu shot to protect her and despite my uneasiness I did it for a couple of winters. Haven't since.
I just find this whole attitude that you're a responsible adult so you MUST get a flu shot is weird. Kind of like you're a woman so you must have your contraceptives free.
I hate seeing the signs for flu shots.
Everywhere has them available. Walked into Walmart and there's a table to get one. One of the sports teams my kid was on offered them to everyone after a practice one day. Give me a break.
Like the flu is the most important health issue we face.
::rant::
-
Nanny-state, LV. That's how it strikes me, and ignorantly pointless as well, considering this year's flu shots are formulated to fight last year's flu strain.

Yep.
But try telling someone that who thinks they're morally superior to you because they dutifully get theirs every year.
Probably the same ones who think the TSA protects them from terrorists.
-
I used to get them every year, but haven't for the past few years. I never got the flu when vaccinated, but I never got it before or after either. In fact, I'm not sure if I've ever truly had the flu. I've had sicknesses worse than a simple cold, but nothing like the 2 weeks of misery people describe the flu to be.
For now I am going with the theory that an immune system needs practice. Best to not let it get soft and flabby :)

Yeah I read that this morning. Whatever, I'm not trusting my jovial goobermint to know squat about anything, least of all zombie vs citizen, so storm trooper or not is my game, eh?

Or they could watch "Zombieland" and learn the "double tap".

Heard a local clown talk about this on the radio this morning, I guess this is the mother of all moonbat conspiracy theories - Plant X/Nibiru - supposedly a rogue planet we cannot see except when it disturbs the orbit of Uranus or some such nonesense...the radio clown liked it in that it is being used to explain the large ammo purchases by DHS, building of detention centers, all the SkyNet/BigBrother BS.
Yeah, OK, I think I would have to choke down copious quantities of kick-ass chiba to come to that conclusion instead of something more grounded like the government really is out to get us.

GALVESTON, Texas (AP) - Officials say a vial containing a virus that can cause hemorrhagic fever has gone missing from a research facility in Galveston, but say there's no reason to believe there's a threat to the public.
Wonderful. Just wonderful. Oh, wait...
"Officials" say there's no threat to the public. Whew. Thank God for those officials.

Well, you know, a tea-party terrorist right wing nut case took it. They just can't stand being outvoted and they have threatened to release the toxin if they don't get to cling to their guns and bibles. No matter what, you know TPTB will blame the right ewing for any consequences.

Geez, I would rather be taken down by Nibiru and the Greys...
But that is why these people are buying into it, because that fantasy is better than the reality before them

Agree on both counts.

Yet Another report of troop movement. Could be nothing. Could just be another "get the public used to seeing military on the roads" mission, or it could actually be relevant.
PREPPER ALERT! Heavy military troop movement. #preppertalk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KoBwICv9io#)

Where did you find that, Weisshaupt?
-
I didn't see that linked anywhere at InfoWars...?
As for the speculation, with these clowns I don't think we can divide conditioning from relevancy!

OK, BOT...
I cannot read all of these and not reach for the tin foil...the perfect blend of "I can see that" and "Huh, wtf?"!

Scenes like that have been common around here since as long as I can remember - twice a year, on National Guard training week. They mobilize a lot of personnel and hardware during those weeks.
One of the coolest things I ever saw was pheasant hunting on a game farm up by Little Falls, when we began to hear a low rumble. Then appearing very low over the horizon, just over the treetops, a tight group of four C-13 aircraft came right towards us and flew right over just a few hundred feet off the ground, headed straight in the direction of Fort Ripley. It was awesome; ominous looking; deafening.
When I was a kid, we used to camp as a small semi-private lake a short distance from Fort Ripley. During guard training week we could hear loud explosions from the West; looking there at dusk we could see the sky light up. Never knew for sure if it was loud fireworks low to the ground, or Guards training with explosives.
If I was to guess based on what I see in the video, I would think this nothing more than a routine mobilization of the Pennsylvania National Guard - unless and until someone can offer me reason to believe that it is something else.
I got my tin-foil-hat right here, but I only put it on when I think I need it.

Where did you find that, Weisshaupt?
I have set up Google to search for certain terms each day and send me the new links it finds. Its not very effective, but sometimes it turns of some interesting things.

Another Rumor (http://www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/forum.cgi?read=272849)
Mind this particular persistent Google Search has turned up nothing for weeks. Now two in two days.

When I was a kid the family used to travel across country from time to time and I remember many occasions where we would see a military convoy rolling down the highway. I wouldn't think much of it today if I saw it. Now, if they were rolling into say, Houston or Denver and putting up roadblocks and such...that would be a bit different.

There is that new lab in Kansas somewhere too, supposedly doing all that nasty bio-stuff that used to be done on Plum Island. What could go wrong in the heartland, where so much of our meat and grains come from? I'm sure we're fine....

Oh, and a not very subtle admission of the Google-Government SkyNet cooperation effort -
Chinese hackers who breached Google’s servers several years ago gained access to a sensitive database with years’ worth of information about U.S. surveillance targets (http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/chinese-hackers-who-breached-google-gained-access-to-sensitive-data-us-officials-say/2013/05/20/51330428-be34-11e2-89c9-3be8095fe767_print.html).
Nice, eh?

Speaking of the Google-Government, how odd that Google gave the feds access to that reporter's Gmail account without a warrant huh? Mighty helpful of them!

Yes, isn't it a beautiful thing when corporations and governments work together toward a common (fascist) goal?!

Maybe the troops will get some live fire training while in Chicago.

A bit of instructive advice from someone Gestapo'd by the Obama Regime - "This experience has taught me one very important lesson: without congressional action or a strong judicial precedent, I would _strongly_ recommend against anyone trusting their private data to a company with physical ties to the United States.
