Omar's 'explanations' to the earlier accusations are full of gibberish. She says she was married and divorced 'in our faith traditon' etc. I could be wrong but i don't think that matters to the IRS. I mean, can I claim to be head of husehold with a woman I am not legally married to? I imagine that has been litigated long ago. At the very least Omar filed jointly with a guy she was not legally married to,maybe while married to someone else, I cannot remember now.
Most tax scams have been litigated long ago. I recall one. Marital status used to be determined on Dec. 31, period. Then some people from some frozen tundra like MN figured something out. They could travel to the Caribean in late December, get divorced, then remarried on Jan 1. The tax savings paid for their trip! The IRS ended that loophole right quick.
