Arlington Changing of the Guard
« on: January 25, 2014, 10:38:55 AM »
For thus that have never had the pleasure of viewing.  Note; guard [ on mat] takes exactly 21 steps between posts, weapons is always outboard of the tomb, facing movements are exactly 21 seconds.  The clicking sounds heard in racing movements are do to medal 'cheaters' on the inside of the heels.  From my duty on the Honor Guard during Kennedy and since I have witness well over two hundred changes and nevere get tired of watching noticing small changes in technic over the years.  Side note; since the tombs inseption it had NEVER been left unguarded for one minute - even during a hurricane, severe thunderstorm nearby, and extreme cold and snow.  The gun salutes [firing] in the background you will hear are from a burial ceremony somewhere in Arlington. I could go on but,  enjoy;

I've seen those before and still enjoy them. I can surely understand the honor that comes with the post and thank you for you time served, sir. ::USA::

That's all we can ask of anyone.
