a)  Who names a lion "Cecil"?  What is he, a metrosexual cat?

b)  If he was this lazy (they refer to him as "indifferent and sleepy-eyed") perhaps they saved him from a worse fate...like being torn apart by Hyenas.

c)  This guy is being singled out and convicted without any due process simply because he is a self-described big game hunter - "His passion for hunting has led him to use his archery skills to kill all but one of the animals listed on respected bowhunting organization Pope and Young's records. The hunting group's list includes tough targets like polar bears, leopards, rhinos and lions."  & 'As far as I understand, Walter believes that he might have shot that lion that has been referred to as Cecil,' the spokesman said. 'What he'll tell you is that he had the proper legal permits and he had hired several professional guides, so he's not denying that he may be the person who shot this lion. He is a big-game hunter; he hunts the world over.'

Boo friggin' hoo.

d) And some of these comments by morons...clearly, if you don't like big game hunters, don't go to this dentist, OK?  How man of these people ever get a traffic violation?  I guess those people are the lowest scum on earth, I wouldn't trust them to pump out my septic honestly, right?!

e) And crybaby dickheads like this literally make me want to go out and slay one of God's creatures...just so I can make this fool blubber and babble like an fool again.  Seriously, where does crap like "...is it that difficult for you to get an erection that you need to kill things?" come from anyway?  Apparently crying, babbling and questioning another mans manhood puts the starch in little Jimmy's Jimmy.

f) Death threats.  Really?  What is a pencil-necked geek tree-hugging see-a-gun-and-pass-out-with-peed-panties pansy going to do to a big game hunter?  I'll pay to see that confrontation!

I have to admit though, "trophy hunting" simply does not sit well with me.  I don't like the thought of killing something just to make an ornament out of it.  It's different from mounting the head or antlers of a deer that was eaten.  It also seems different from mounting a fish, but I guess I'm just being inconsistent there.

Liberty means that some people will choose to exercise their freedoms in ways I might find obnoxious, but that's just how it is.  I'm not going to demand state intervention for everything that offends my sentiments -- that is exactly what's wrong with the world.

I'm with you Glock. I've killed plenty of wild creatures in my life, and I'll even admit that the act of killing carries a certain thrill (not taking life, but the manner and tradition of doing so). But not a single dead creature adorns my walls - eaten or otherwise - and I frankly don't understand doing so.

I know others see it differently. To my way of thinking, if you didn't eat what you have hanging on your wall - perhaps with the exception of trophy fish - I lose a little respect.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

I can't get into trophy hunting.

I've killed my share of animals and ate them.

Except for a brief period of trapping many years ago.

This was all prompted by a You.Tube video, made by a man with a nose-ring, critical of the Zulu culture.

I can't think of any more boring way to spend a day than sitting up in a tree waiting for a deer.  Never done it.  Never will.

BUT

I am an enthusiastic consumer of animal products.  If someone gets their jollies hunting animals that would get culled by someone, anyway, as lions do, then to each his own.  Have fun with it if that's your hobby.  He's probably guilty of participating in a little poaching of an animal he didn't have a right to hunt, as it was essentially public property.  No more.  Because there are plenty of nutcases in full blood lust mode over hunting in general, with calls for executions.

Heck yeah!  This is how effed up people in this nation are!  Like Glock and others I am not into the big game/trophy hunting thing, but neither am I going to tell somebody they can't do it, and like everything in life if people bend or break the rules they have to live with the consequences, period.  But Progs never are satisfied to leave it there, they take it upon themselves to force everybody into their diseased effed up world view...and this is the result - slaughtered human embryos ignored, criminal politicians unpunished...but you offend even the silliest Prog emot-du-juor and its to the gallows!

Here's a thought...perhaps people need to start hunting Progs, eh?

So the country is under drought, no food, little water, lost tons of jobs.....but a guy who is willing to spend 50K to hunt big game, with a permit, in what little industry they have going for them over there.....and libs want to take it away. Typical.
I'm not always engulfed in scandals, but when I am, I make sure I blame others.

God Pablo, why bother steeping yourself in that depravity? It's like they're demon harpies.

There's really not much that can be done with "people" like that. Ya know, it's funny - one of the tactics used in leftist cyber-warz is to dehumanize your opponent - that way it's easier to hate on them. But you look at the posters and the crap they post and all the dehumanizing is done for me.

Why would I even pause to stare if one of them got hit by a truck and was laying in the street bleeding out?

It'd be fun to lay a wire coat-hanger across their bleeding body as they lay dying. #AnotherSuccessfulAbortion

As for FB, a [lot] of immature fun. I can't legally shoot them...but I can piss a few of them off. I like reminding them of the illnesses/cancers contracted by their assorted, sordid activities...the knee-jerk response is for them to attempt to identity other groups who contract @ higher rates (including the suicides)...OR to retort that cultural lack of affirmation causes them to off themselves...but they know (and so do I).
